When I lived in California, you are at the epicenter of Mexican cuisine in the United States, with over 30% of the nation’s Mexican restaurants located in the state. The California-style (or “Cal-Mex”) approach is characterized by fresh, seasonal, and often lighter ingredients, deeply influenced by proximity to the border and a diverse, multicultural population.
When I moved to NY, I never found that authentic Mexican food that I got accustomed to. Since moving out of CA, I’m always trying to catch that CalMex high. This restaurant is the closest to the authentic Mexican food that I’ve tasted in Mexico.

I was looking for a Mexican restaurant and decided to give this place a try. We weren’t sure what to expect, but it turned out really good. Prices are reasonable, and the staff was friendly and attentive, always checking if we needed anything. If you enjoy Mexican food, I’d definitely recommend it — I’ll be back to try something different next time.

Most excellent tex mex food I have had in the greater ft. Lauderdale area hands down I came in for lunch because I really liked the reviews. As far as I can tell, all of them are right on point! This place is fabulous, with great and speedy service. I was given a cup of chicken with rice and vegetable soup with the two taco special I chose. Soooooo delicious, exactly like mom’s!! No, really! Excellent flavors, super fresh vegetables, you can’t go wrong here.

Small place but great food. Overall we liked the food here. Tried a few of the dishes and it all came out quickly and piping hot. The dishes are all big and very filling. We could have easily shared the steak burrito between two people. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were full of cheesy goodness. The steak was also perfectly cooked and juicy.

I seen the racing reviews and had to pass by. I ordered to go, it was almost closing time so I guess that had to do with my order being not so good. The tostada’s fell apart, not crunchy. Everything was mostly bland. Good quality, bland food. They give good portions but the food is just not hitting. The ladies were all very nice and friendly though so I have five stars for that. Food was sadly a 2 as you can see, the tostada’s were a mush
