A far overdue visit! Heard so many good things about this place and it’s legit Mexican American menu. The steak bites always come up when people talk about this place. Now I can see why that is. My wife and I came in on a Wednesday night about 530 for the first time. It was not super busy at all and we got seated fast. Orders were taken quickly as well. I got the famous original steak bites with a choice side salad. Wife got the daily special Guiso plate with refried beans and Mexican rice and homemade flour tortillas. The meal also came with a complementary plate of refried beans and red and green salsa (with a kick) and chips.
It didn’t take long for the plates to come out and my were the portions generous!
My steak tips were fantastic. A perfect medium and very well seasoned! Melt in your mouth tender!
My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Guiso and the super tender diced beef in a rich brown gravy.
Laura the GM was very kind to us and gave us a little background on the business with it being our first time there. 16 years in business! I see why that’s so!
I’m coming back again soon to try the same plate I got but ‘El Paisano’ style with added grilled onions, peppers, and tomatoes.

Definitely a new favorite place to eat! Friendly family style staff who all take turns taking care of tables, knowledgeable and love their jobs, they love their food too and will tell you details about it and why they recommend it! Their salsas are amazing! We had the tacos Mexicanos and they were so delicious!! I do wish they made handmade tortillas, that would take it to the next level but it was absolutely still so delicious! Meat cooked and seasoned well, just enough heat to keep you coming back for more and their beans and rice are just so comforting! Bless them and their beautiful environment with great food that they’ve created! ❤️❤️ it was so good I dug right in and forgot to get a photo

The food is amazing. Steak melts in your mouth. This is the best food I’ve had in San Angelo Texas.
Only thing I can complain about is the size of restaurant. It’s very small inside the building. Sitting is so close to other tables that if you get up to walk to the restroom you are basically walking so close to customers while they are eating. That two ppl can not walk thru at the same time.

My husband and i decided to have lunch at Piasano for the first time and it was absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious and the chef is an expert at seasoning his dishes. It’s now my very favorite place to go.

Amazing service from the moment we stepped in. They bring beans with sauce and ground beef on them. That was amazing and probably my most favorite chips I’ve ever had. Crunchy and thin- doesn’t fill you up too fast! Then they proceeded with the great service, bringing everything out extremely fast and friendly. Guiso plate, green enchiladas and the biggest quesadillas I’ve ever seen followed. Large portions!!! Great refried beans and rice. Def 5 STARS!

KC Steak for the win. This is the place for an awesome steak dinner. Perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The salsa is superb and on the lighter side, the carne guisada hits the spot. Totally recommend. See you next November.

Terrible service! I didn’t even try the food because they didn’t want to serve me lunch 10 min before 11 am, or even take my order after i was willing to wait. As soon as I walked in I wasnt sure if I was supposed to seat myself or if someone would seat me because there’s no signs. So im just standing there and the workers are just looking at me. I had to ask if I could seat myself. 10 min later I get stale chips. 10 min after that I get watery coffee. 10 min after that they come to take my order only to tell me they are not serving lunch until 11am and it was 10:50. Glad I made the decision to leave instead of give them my hard earned money and gamble on the rest of the service being good.
