El Padrino is an outstanding Mexican restaurant that I would highly recommend. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with friendly and attentive service that sets the tone for the rest of your dining experience.

I was driving by and was stopped at a red light.

My husband and I came here for a second time. I ordered the house Margarita. It was neon yellow, and very obviously from a mix. It tasted horrible, so I asked the bartender to replace it with the jalapeno pineapple Margarita which was so much better. The mild salsa tasted like canned tomatoes, and the “spicy” salsa was the same with a tiny hint of spice. My shrimp tacos were good, and my husband was happy with his fajita burrito. Not amazing, but certainly not bad.

Demetrius was our server and he was as nice as can be – super attentive and professional. The service was flawless. The food was also excellent. I just couldn’t fairly give it 5 stars because of the fruit flavored tea and chips. But those are very minor things. Otherwise, it’s excellent and we would definitely go back.

Mediocre service and fairly bland food touted as Mexican, but lacking depth of flavor and spice. It wasn’t bad—just bland. We had to ask for chips and salsa as they were not offered by the server, who seemed to be new and not fully-trained, though she was pleasant. Large portions. Server left all the used plates on the table instead of clearing them off.

Great Tex-Mex restaurant. The happy hour is a $1 off drinks. I sat in the bar area and the bartenders were very attentive. My food came out quickly and was very good. The margarita was strong and had good flavor. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the the Springs.

First time eating at this place. The waiter was very polite and checked on us periodically to see if we needed anything. The food was really good and reasonably priced. One thing I noticed on the menu was during lunch you can create your own plate, but the dinner menu doesn’t allow you to substitute items.

More like a 3.5. Everything tasted quite good. To nitpick, most vegetables were julienned so finely that they just scorched on the fajita plate. Everything could use more seasoning. Wait staff were very energetic and friendly, but missed out on asking to refill bar drinks. We had time for a 2nd and the restaurant was not busy. Will return, nice weekend dinner.

Yum! I went here years ago and had forgotten how good it was. We went here for lunch and loved it so much, we went back a few days later with the kids! Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

My husband and I have come here since it opened, but the last time we came seemed different. The fish tacos that costed $18 were very sad looking. Hardly anything in the tortillas, the rice has no flavor. No prices on menu which is weird, but that’s because prices are a bit higher and less food quality.
