Cash only! There was a short wait but it was organized. The flavor is not exactly as my youth but close. I enjoyed every delicious bite. Not a bad price either. I got 8 pork tacos for $21.00.

I have been patronizing this restaurant weekly for over 30 years, but I can no longer spend money in here. That Daniella or whomever is working the window Saturday, 3/25, has a NASTY ATTITUDE. She got my phone order wrong, overcharged me, and then when I brought it up, she wants to argue. She has done this before and I let it go. I’ve also watched her do it to others. She is just not a people person. I’m always kind to them so there’s no reason for her to get how she does. This was my last time coming here.

I was VERY disappointed with this establishment after my visit yesterday. The lady at the front counter showed no customer service. She didn’t greet me or didn’t even say “May I help you?” When I was given my food no one said “thank you”. Their prices have gone up again. Almost $4.00/taco. They never have specials, like a discount for Taco Tuesday. They require you to wear a mask and want to charge you $1.00 for one. The majority of places in Lake County do not require masks anymore, so why would I think to have one. They only take cash, which is the most unhealthiest form of payment. They’re too cheap to pay the credit card fee. They squeeze two tacos on the smallest plate possible so not to allow much lettuce or tomatoes. They don’t any chicken choices ( which is healthier). Lastly, the quality of their food isn’t the same. Very little meat in taco. I’ve been going for 30+ years but I won’t be back. There are far better places in Merrillville, Schereville , and Crown Point.

I love this place!!! Food good, prices are reasonable although they’ve increased slightly. However still the best prices. Only serve beef & pork. Simply delicious. Whenever I’m in town, I always stop to get my fix.

I will always love this restaurant because we stayed on Fifth and Calhoun street so all I had to do is walk outside and it was right there I’ll never forget the time my uncle Fred came and got me from Brunswick Elementary school and asked me if I wanted some tacos of course I said yes I got tacos french fries a Mistic and a Submarine sandwich they need to bring the submarine sandwiches back I loved them I was the happiest kid alive that day .

First of all, somebody need to tell the security guard to calm ALL the way down ♀️ and the lady at the front window to work on her customer service skills and stop trying to COME for the customer. Let me guess the original owners have retired (they worked hard to keep their business on point) and these crowns are ruining their representation. Zero stars option not available
