I finally made my way to El Nopal in Floral Park, and I’m kicking myself for not discovering this gem sooner! I ordered the asada burrito, and it was an absolute standout – generously packed with tender, flavorful meat and super fresh ingredients that made every bite a delight. The portions are hearty, and the quality shines through, making it clear why this spot has earned its local reputation for authentic Mexican eats.
That said, my order also included chips and guac, which unfortunately didn’t make it into the bag. I was tempted to dock a star or two for the oversight, as I was really looking forward to that classic combo. However, mistakes happen to the best of us, and the customer service was top-notch – friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. It wasn’t the end of the world, and it won’t stop me from coming back.
Overall, El Nopal is a winner for quick, delicious Mexican food. I’ll definitely be returning soon to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

This is the first time trying this restaurant while driving by. It’s a little hidden on a corner but it’s well worth it. It’s very clean inside and colorful. The staff smiles and is very nice. Now to the best part of the review the food. DELICIOUS, FRESH, LARGE PORTIONS & NOT EXPENSIVE. You can tell this is real authentic homemade food cooked fresh. The bathroom is clean. There is parking outside free & metered. Safe area and well worth the try.

I was really craving tacos and decided to try this spot since it’s right by my house. I didn’t realize they had two different kinds of beef tacos, so I ended up ordering one that was $17—which caught me off guard a bit lol. On the bright side, everyone there was super nice. The pupusas were amazing—big, cheesy, and definitely the highlight of the meal. I’d come back for those alone!

I can’t say enough good things about this place, if you like traditional Mexican food then you will love this I’m certain. I highly recommend that whatever you order, that you also get the nachos – these were the absolute best and most flavorful we have ever had. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. The margaritas were real good – we opted for the spicy and they were delicious. The staff were all so friendly. We will definitely go back here!!

I had a steak burrito and my wife had the fish tacos. My burrito was excellent; we also had some guacamole and chips. My wife likes her food spicy and needed to add hot sauce. We both enjoyed our meals and neither of us took any home, which is unusual. We went there around 3:30pm before the dinner crowd and chatted with the owners son, very nice young man.

We had 2 drinks (alcoholic) and 2 dishes for just under $40. We had nachos with steak and al pastor huaraches. Both were outstanding. The meat on the nachos was cooked perfectly for nachos, crispy pieces of meat and was stacked perfectly, no soggy chips!! The service was friendly, atmosphere inviting and food good. We wanted churros but we were too full. There a tons of places to get Mexican food but this is worth any extra distance you have to travel.

My family and I love this place. We eat here all the time. Not only is the staff super friendly and accommodating, the food is super delicious. The authenticity put into each plate makes this restaurant stand out from the other Mexican restaurants in Floral Park. Will definitely be returning to try all of their plates. I totally recommend you checking this place out if you want authentic, mouth watering food!
