Super friendly! SOOOOOOO good.
We got the El Nopal Dip for our appetizer. Get it. It’s so good.
He got the steak special, it came with shrimp, and normally I’m not a fan, BUT The shrimp was sooooo freaking good!! I got the Fajita taco salad. It was better than it looked! And it looked great.

Worst el nopal I’ve ever been too we come in boom we get seated. We get our drinks and chips and then after that the waiter just never came back and we sat there looking goofy for a lil minute. So we just asked for the checks and dipped. If u on valley and want Mexican don’t come to this el nopal.

I used to like it but the last few times its being ran by kids and it was crap. The rice was mushy and our chicken smelled funny. It smelled fishy. The kids are friendly it is just the way they throw the food together and I honestly don’t think it was fresh. I feel like they need some supervision.

Not what it was when it first opened. Food has no flavor or pop. Everyone I was with food looked tasteless and bland. The chicken was literally color and tasteless. I got a chicken quesadilla and it looked like a soft taco: folded over with shredded chicken no color, no cheese or flavor and litterly nothing else but shredded chicken. The bottom of the taco against the plate was greasy. Some of my waffle fries were not fully cooked. Chips and salsa good. I do not recommend. I won’t be back. Buy some spices and cook with love and flavor. From what I and my table ordered it seems the cook has given up. Very disappointed, this was the first time I’ve been here in 4 years and it has definitely gone down

Expect for a 8 year old to seat you and not know what she’s doing. My family of 4 left because we asked for a booth and walked past 5 and sat us at a table and refused to let us sit at a booth so we walked out. Great customer service

Prob the best Mexican eating establishment in all of louisville,short of theses wonderful people inviting us over to their personal home for a home cooked meal,you aren’t going to find better food,they always make us ( my daughter and myself) feel very welcomed.it is always clean and very bright vivid colorful art works on the walls,plenty of room in the booths, and again great food,and plenty of it, great big Ole portions.love it thank you .A+++

Server was freindly and attentive. I absolutely hate giving bad reviews, but I must give honest reviews. By giving a honest and concise review, managers of establishments can make proper corrections and improve. Of course you can’t please everyone all the time, so I suggest everyone try it for yourself, instead of relying on my review or anyone else’s. I know how reviews can really hurt a business so I am always completely honest here. We went here as a family celebration and only one person in our party of four enjoyed the food. I had three beef tacos. The others had combinations consisting of beef enchiladas, chicken burritos, tamales, and cheese quesadillas. The queso and chips were good. But the meat in the tacos was very bland and lacked any flavor. It wasn’t dry but cooked perfectly just could not taste any type of seasoning only a slight taste of beef. Pretty much the same for my guests chicken burritos. The restroom was very clean and tidy.
