Salsa was flavorful, not spicy, chips we crisp and tasty, guacamole was watery and bland, cheese dip was the same. The beef tips and pork were cooked perfect and had a wonderful flavored red sauce on them.
The cheese on my refried beans was over cooked and crispy (likely from the plate warmer for a bit of a larger party). Service was quick friendly and wonderful.

Awesome authentic Mexican food is right. But it’s a little more like texico food. The food here was amazing. Wide variety of main dishes and appetizers and combos. Service was exceptional. The waitress that was with us was so kind and made sure we were attended to. Kept going with the refills and the complementary chips and salsa. Food came out relatively quickly and there seems to quite a bit of traffic in this small town. We just came back from camping in Sequoia and this just hit the spot. Would recommend to anyone traveling by this quaint little town.

We always sit in the same booth unless all of our kids and grandson are with us. Our waitress always recognizes us. She may not know our names, but she is always kind and has a great personality. I’m constantly telling others about El-Monte that they have the best food. Number 6 is our favorite.

I love eating at El Monte Resturant. I love their Chile Verde. To name one of the few. The atmosphere is always Pleasant. The owners are very nice. Very friendly, they always come out and say hello!! Prices are very reasonable. very happy with their service.

Not a restaurant for Hispanics. The food is not authentic at all. The chile relleno should be called a chile omelet. The salsa is not good at all. Their rice is so dry that maybe it was reheated a few times. I had flautas, nothing special. My husband got the enchilada and chile relleno, and it was very disappointing. The water was filtered, though.
I would never go back. One of the worst “Mexican” restaurants

It was okay. Really small place. No real bar but they did have beer.

We haven’t been here in several years. I don’t think it’s as good as before. Service was slow, it was 45 minutes to get our food. There was a very large group in the other room, so that was probably the reason. The salsa was very good.

So just when you think you’ve seen it all you missed one right in front of your face. My friend told me about this restaurant and said that she and her friend ate there all the time. Got the chance to swing by for lunch today on Sunday. Didn’t have to wait for a seat but the restaurant was full. They seem to move through quite well people come in get served go get served go pretty well done. The food was amazing the chips and salsa could be some of the best chips in the valley The salsa the green one was better The red one was a little too tomato-canned taste for me. However, the green salsa was great. The enchilada sauce was perfect. The beans and rice were amazing The beans were very old-world. The rice is very authentic good proportions. Had this shredded beef crispy taco probably the best taco I’ve had in 5 or 10 years. The beef was perfect it was moist but not wet and didn’t make the tortilla soggy The tortilla was perfectly light and crispy and then just ideal and did not fall apart when I took a bite yep that’s just The way I like it!

We had a party for almost 40 people and the service was excellent and the food was served hot! They served everyone at the same time which was impressive. The food was fantastic as always and I can’t say enough good things about our experience for my party!
