Was in town for a visit and needed a good Sunday after church lunch. Nailed it!
Get the Traditional Bowl if you are watching carbs. Also ask for the in-house made hot sauce. For that extra kick!
Traditional bowl: Large portion, enough for two. I couldn’t finish it.
Cheese Dip: Seasoned not bland.
Salsa: Slightly chunky, well seasoned.
Pros: Friendly staff, good selection, plenty of seating, clean.
Cons: Busy, a little loud

Located on Hillsboro Blvd. In Manchester, TN, this restaurant offers a large menu of dishes sure to please your palate. We had the steak fries, guacamole casero, burrito verde, frozen strawberry margarita, and Dos Equis draft beer. The guacamole casero was so fresh and chunky. The flavors were great. The steak fries and burrito verde were also delicious. We added some of the guacamole to the steak fries. The margarita seemed heavy on tequila flavor and less of the strawberry flavor. I would prefer more strawberry flavor, and that’s a minor issue to me that I chose to not allow it to affect my rating. Our server was very attentive and checked on us. They have patio seating available. The music playing on the ladies restroom was extremely loud. The volume should be lowered.

The food and service are always top notch. We visit this location regularly and are never disappointed by the food or the service. The servers are always polite and the manager is regularly seen walking around and checking in with guests to ensure everything about their experience is perfect.

I have been to the restaurant twice each time my experience was wonderful.
I have also ordered take out from them. We ordered the double fajitas with chicken, steak and shrimp. There was plenty of food for 2 people with leftovers for the next day.
Overall, I would order take out or dine in again here.

Repeatedly, outstanding authentic Mexican food! Service is friendly and caring to customer needs. Food comes promptly! The menu is varied. Everything we’ve had here is top quality! We love to bring family and friends here as they visit us! Their takeout is excellent, too! Funny story, in the 1960s, my house stood here, right where this restaurant has been established. Great memories from yesteryear and still as we visit this restaurant!

We were celebrating a birthday. This restaurant is his favorite! I love their guacamole! I could eat it with nothing else! The server was kind, even when 2 of my kids spilled a drink because they were rowdy! Food is always amazing and way too much for 1 meal! Definitely would recommend!

Often me and my boyfriend eat out at El Molcajete. We choose to eat here because the food is good and fast, however the service most of the time is not great at all. I’m not sure if it’s because we are younger people being stereotyped but we never get good servers at this restaurant. Servers blatantly sit in the middle of the restaurant playing on their phones or talking to each other. What lead me to this review tonight was our server, Alex. He was not attentive to us at all. We sat waiting to get our order taken while he was chatting with other workers. After finally getting our orders taken, we sat our whole meal with no refills, when approached about a refill we asked politely for to-go boxes. When he brought us our boxes he also brought our check. Moments after, we sat our card down to pay, the server who saw us put the card on the table… kicked backed with his feet up in another booth. we decided to just pay at the front before our server even stood up. Walking to the car we looked through the window to see our server STILL kicked backed in the same booth. 1/10 service 8/10 food.

We got to the restaurant we were standing behind I have been a while they asked him how many they seated them. So I’m standing there with my family waiting for somebody to ask us how many. The lady completely ignored us and went behind us and asked a gentleman behind me that was standing there how many high chills you need and how many of your family completely ignoring me and my family. We left and went to another mixed restaurant this is my first experience at this restaurant and will never go back. Every Mexican restaurant in Manchester is always Glad to see you meet you greet you shake your hand. This one has always been rude. Today’s date is 1/4/2026 at 1: 00p.m. when this happens so to go back and look at your camera you’ll see a standing there there again do you need to do better

What a terrific Mexican restaurant! Best I e been to in a while. I had the Molcajete Special and loved it, but there was enough there for 2 or 3 people. My wife had the Burrito Hawaii and likewise enjoyed it with way more there than she could eat. Margarita was good, and the Dogs Equis Dark on tap hit the spot. Staff was very attentive without being bothersome, and of course everyone was friendly. Four big thumbs up from my wife and me!
