Very small hole in the wall type restaurant. My favorite is the Mexican tacos with carne asada. They also have wonderful fajitas! The signature dish el Molcajete is to die for but share with someone it’s more than enough for 2. Always good service with a great small town atmosphere.

Was wanting Mexican food today and living in Honey Grove the places are limited. So, I thought I would try this place. Never again will I eat there, the food was small portions and it tasted like a tv dinner you would get from the frozen department at dollar general. I got the 3 enchilada plate and the cheese tasted like imitation cheese and the enchiladas weee so small. The beans were so watery you could almost eat them through a straw and the was only like 4 bites. My dad got the old fashioned cheese burger and he said the bun was hard and the burger tasted like soy bean meat.

I was just passing through honey grove and came across this little gem. I was blown away by this Togo order. Everything was fresh and hot and most of all delicious! I’ll be passing through more often. Great job El Molcajete!

We met some friends here last evening cause it’s half way between Kemp, Ok & Sulphur Springs, Tx. It’s a small place with very tasty Mexican food & good service. We’ll be back!!
