Visited this place several weeks ago, kind of disappointed me and the group… The mofongo was no good… texture ok, but the flavor was nothing like a good mofongo. It tasted like one garlic clove in a full gallon of water. Also, the pernil was very cold in the inside and hot in the outside, which makes me think it was just reheated from the day before… and the Pollo AL ajillo normally comes with butter and garlic…. the one we ordered came more like pollo a la criolla… taste no different than the mofongo… Finally, the sorullitos were good, and the mayo ketchup ok.

It is very hard to find an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant let alone a good one, and this is one of the best I’ve been to in the US. The food was cooked perfectly, such great flavor, and such a good size portion. A few more bucks than your typical ‘Chili’s’ dish but way more quality for your money and absolutely worth it. Staff was incredibly nice to my wife and I. As frequent visitors to PR we really appreciated all the artwork of El Morro!

Tried this little gem for the first time recently, very good food. A little out of the ordinary for my usual tastes but you gotta change it up from time to time. Definitely worth a try if you’re curious about Caribbean food.

Wanted to find a Puerto Rican restaurant for my hubby for his birthday month. He was one happy man. He is New Yorican. My hubby was one happy guy. They are on his way to work so I know he will be visiting when he can.

We have been looking for a place like this forever! It was so good, so comforting. We sampled the beef platter, beans and rice, tostones, rellenos de papa and the guava pastries for dessert. Even if you don’t know what it all is, order it and leave full and content!

What can I say, it had that authentic puertorican taste and feel. The food was great and the staff is awesome. It could be a little pricey. They don’t have a menu instead they have a bar code you scan for a menu. I suggest you scan it or ask for prices. Overall I recommend this place.

Zero stars. Yeah I knew I got there just before closing, at 7:50. I called on my way to try and place my Togo order but they didn’t answer. When I got there there were other patrons in the restaurant. She told me they were closed until she heard my pronunciation. Then she was gonna serve me. SMH. The atmosphere is poor period, barely four walls and no feel to it. Service terrible. If you don’t want to serve people at 7:50 then close at 7:30.

Not a bad place to get Caribbean ( PR)food. Fast service, good food. The menu is a bit short but the choices are still good. Looks clean and good ambience.
