I absolutely LOVE this place, all of the waiters are super nice and friendly, and the food is amazing, the beef is so good and delicious. The atmosphere is also really nice, the seating is all very comfortable and high quality. The price is also fair for what you are getting.

This was our first visit to El Mezon, and it was amazing! The restaurant is beautiful and very clean. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon, but it never felt crowded, and we were seated quickly.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We were running low on chips and salsa, and they brought us more before we even had to ask. (Also, the salsa isn’t spicy, which I really appreciated as a mom with two kids who don’t love heat!)
Our food came out fast, hot, and perfectly seasoned. Everything we ordered tasted delicious. Even better, for all four of us to eat during the lunch special, it was under $40!
It really felt like everyone there cared about our experience, and we were checked on by multiple staff members. My kids thought the bathrooms were “so cool,” and I loved how spotless they were.
A special shout-out to Oscar behind the bar! I accidentally left my phone in the restroom stall, and didn’t realize it until we were halfway home. I called the restaurant, and Oscar answered, helped locate my phone, and safely held it for me until I could come back. He was so kind and helpful. Thank you again, Oscar!

This is 1 of the best Mexican restaurants in the area! The margaritas are refreshing and strong, and the food is absolutely delicious and high quality. We love the fajitas, enchiladas, and chips/salsa! We brought out-of-state family members and they thoroughly enjoyed it. No reservations, so be prepared for a little wait during dinner rush.

We have tried lots of different food and they were all excellent. The staff here is on another level of awesomeness!

I chose this restaurant because of food allergies and good ratings. They went above and beyond. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more well attended then we were here! Our waiter was prompt, kept our drinks filled. It was very nice for my travel weary family!

¡Era muy delicioso! Definitely recommend! Try the chimichanga with beef! Tender beef with so much flavor! Came here for lunch and I only spent $10 and with tip $14. Chips and salsa were authentic so good! Totally worth it and will definitely be back!!!

We’ve tried so many Mexican restaurants in the area and this is the best. We each ordered different things and all loved our food! The service sets them apart from other Mexican restaurants. They actually smile and are very friendly and attentive. The guy cleaning tables was very thorough, wiping all surfaces and the chairs and then cleaning the floor at each table before walking away. We were very impressed!

So far this is up there as some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in STL. Food was so good we went back within a week for another round
So far we’ve tried the lunch taco/enchilada combo, spicy shrimp quesadilla, carne asada burrito (queso on the side), fajita quesadilla, carne asada tacos, margaritas, and churros.
EVERYTHING was good. So glad the salsa has some spice to it! The carne asada doesn’t taste like the typical grilled meat but instead possibly baked or slow roasted, it’s so tasty! Margaritas was yummy & packs a punch!
