Truly one of those classic staples in Lawrence, a place that has never treated us wrong.
The food is tasty, and well priced. The portions are large, and come out in a timely fashion. Fresh. Drink specials are also very good. The Margaritas are super yummy.
The service has been fantastic every time. Treating you much like family.

Came in 7 p.m. guy at front handed husband hand alarm. Did not talk did not welcome did not inform of wait. We waited 15 minutes to be seated. No issues there, I understand that kind of wait. He sat us by the kitchen right in front of where front door opens. It is 40 something with cold windchill. I requested another seat maybe near the back where I saw several seats/booths open. He said NO. Nothing else available. Ugh, okay. We waited 10 minutes. No one came by to say will be right with you, take drink order, nothing. Couple in booth across from us had been waiting over 20 minutes for someone to take their order. We are done. Will not return. Could not tell you if food was good or not. Even if it was, with that lack of customer service, will not be back.

My wife and I were in Lawrence to go to a pet store in town. We like Mexican it heard we like Mexicans food so we stopped in. I had the sense to ask the man at the door what he would recommend for someone from out of town who wanted to leave with a good impression of their restaurant. He made three recommendations and the one I picked was spot on and delicious. My wife enjoyed her meal immensely as well.

Just awful. Ordered a beer, tasted nice and skunky, was 3 days from expiration. Nachos were actually laughable, canned refried beans with subpar cheese dip and of course, 0 seasoning. Will not be returning.

Definitely isnt as good as Topekas the food has a weird taste and the cheese dip. .the lines were dry and already squeezed. And no tortillas for the carne asada that was ordered.

Loved the vegetable fajitas that come on a sizzling player.
The other food seemed strangely sweet and not very spicy. We had to ask for hot sauce to be added to all the dishes and my friend could not eat his enchiladas because the sauce on top was ridiculously sweet. I don’t know if this is deliberately tuned for the locals’ taste, but it is not the authentic flavour of Mexico I was hoping for.

We (2 people) got to the restaurant, and it wasn’t too busy. It took forever to get seated once they got to us. Once we sat down, the server was very slow due to being sat like 4 times back to back. He was very kind, though. We ordered food, and it was very mid, didn’t even finish my meal. It was very loud inside and chilly. I do not recommend it if you’re looking for good street tacos as there was no onion or cilantro on them and flour tortillas were used.

I just ordered a carryout order of Nacho Supreme. Online it says 8 $8.99 so I walk there in this hot ass 96° Heat! And when I got there they told me the price was over 13 dollars. I asked to speak to the manager and all he did was tell me sorry, and that they had just updated the menu like 2 days ago. Well I showed him the price and that it said it had been updated 6 days ago. That’s false advertising. But whatever!!!
