Loved it. Not the best Mexican food but unpretentious with overflowing plates. Home run was the chicken tortilla soup and margaritas. I would return just for that. Salsa was tasty. Avoid, avoid, the guacamole. It was so unappealing, even the texture and color.

Our party had a serious food allergy that would be easy for most restaurants to accommodate. Unfortunately, the server was unwilling to help in any way, and there was cross contamination that led to an allergic reaction. It’s 2023, and common practice to cater to simple allergic needs like this in restaurants.

….I could’ve made better Mexican food at home. 25$ for 3 mediocre tacos and the worst guacamole I ever had from a Mexican establishment in my life. Whoever was in the kitchen and sent out that guac should be ashamed to call themselves Mexican. I wouldn’t have fed that to my dog. I went back and showed them the brownish green unflavored cup of slop and they looked at it like nothing was wrong. That made me even more angry. I asked for avocado slices in exchange…the food was all unseasoned and had no flavor, and this is coming from someone who hadn’t eaten all day, so I would’ve ate and tried to enjoy anything at that point. We ordered 80 bucks worth of food. One of these items did not get made or wasn’t added to the order. I checked my order in the parking lot and found an ordered chicken quesadilla wasn’t there. I went back in and spoke to the cashier. I was treated like I was lying about this. He went through the ticket and told me it was made and it was in foil. The item in foil was a beef taco… then I was offered a side of beans to compensate.

Delicious Mexican food. The cheese enchiladas with red sauce or cheese sauce are very good. Their quesadillas are better than any other I’ve ever had. The Queso dip is very yummy too.

I feel like it’s gone down hill significantly in the last several years. Lately, our food has zero flavor – it’s like it’s not seasoned whatsoever. The salsa is bland, nothing is authentic or feels original, and the prices don’t justify the mediocrity. Definitely could use an overhaul with authentic dishes, better flavors, and something original that makes me want to go there.

We’ve been coming here for years. It’s our favorite place for standard Mexican fare. They have recently renovated the inside and it looks great! Fresh paint and paintings really brighten it up! Last night we waited about 10 minutes for drinks, but they were doing their best being short staffed. We’ll be back!

We have been going for the last five years to El Mezcal. The food is consistently good. One of our recent visits was dine in, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. Recommend them to everyone.
