I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Mexicano Grill and Cantina, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The highlight of my meal was the Torta Cubana, which was absolutely delicious. The combination of flavors and textures in the sandwich was superb, and it left me wanting more.

I’ve eaten here a few times and for the most part, enjoyed the food. The staff are always pleasant and the food doesn’t take long. The salsa is good if you favor cumin. My group ordered a variety and the only complaints were- the carnita meat was pretty dry and while the charro beans had a great flavor, they were so salty we couldn’t really eat them. That’s been the case the last few times. We love seasoned food so we don’t mind salt, but the beans have so much, you can’t get past a few bites. I hope they adjust that in the future because their recipe is on point otherwise. Overall, experiences have been good and we will eat here again.

I usually come to this location as it is closer to Arlington than the one in Waxahachie and have loved it until today. We normally get the Hawaiian Fajitas. They are the best, most flavorful dish and it’s more than enough for 2 people. I tell everyone I know to come and get this dish, they won’t be disappointed. We’ll today I was disappointed, the Hawaiian Fajitas plate I came for was very definitely not the same. The cheese that comes on top is usually melted on top and mixed it with all the meats and it was like they just took it out of the fridge and placed on top before serving. It had more chicken than any other meat and it is usually has equal parts beef, chicken and ham and extremely flavorful, not today. The rice that came with it was cold . Not sure what today’s issue was but I hope they go back to their original recipe for this dish because it was the best Fajitas I’ve had in this area.

We’ve been to the other locations and this one was just the same. Good salsa good food, quality service. Had fajitas split for 2 amd still had enough for 1 more left. Margarita was $3.99 and good, it was on special. Food came out quick too.

We’ve gone here about 5 different times for dinner. The food is good and reasonable. The hosts and servers have all been friendly. The restaurant is clean. My only complaint is several times their ventilation system over the grill gets overwhelmed and it gets kind of smoky in the restaurant making my eyes sting. Too many fajita orders at once?? Last time it took awhile to clear-up. I’m not sure we will go back unless it is an off time when they are not busy so the ventilation won’t get overwhelmed and the restaurant won’t fill with smoke.

The AC was either broken or they didn’t have it on at all. We are in Texas in the middle of summer, that should have been my first clue to not continue with being seated. Then we fought with flies that continuously bombarded our table, there was no kids menu, and to top it all off the total tab for my husband, myself and my 3 kids was $75? My husband and I both had cheese enchiladas, 2 of my kids only had a plate of rice and beans, and my oldest had a burrito. It should have been $50 at the MOST. Will NOT be returning

Never got a chance to eat there, I waited 10 minutes for someone to help take our drink order never happen. Other people walk in and get helped very fast. We walked out the employees look at us and I walked back in and told them, they didn’t even care. Will never eat there ever.

Food I ordered was tasteless except for bean soup. I do not recommend the carne guisada plate. Just plain gross.
