Well made cocktails. I wound up having 2 margaritas because they were so good! The regular margarita is served on the rocks, and the mango margarita is served frozen.
I got the Chilango Tacos with Beef, and my friend had the Mole Rolled Tacos with Beef.

If I could give this restaurant 10/5, I would.
We had a whole evening serenaded by the two wonderful musicians: the harpist and the guitarist. They had excellent coordination, passion, and charisma. As a musician myself, I applaud them heavily for their performance. So much passion and richness in the singer’s voice. Brilliant technique and harmony.
Onto the actual food now, it was amazing. The portions were so large and everything was presented in such a visually appealing manner. The tacos were juicy and crunchy and tender and so diverse in flavour. For the prices, everything was very reasonable. We also got drinks, including a mango juice, which were all delightful and worth the money.
The service was tremendous as well. The waiter made sure we were good several times throughout our meal, and was very attentive and friendly to us. It seems the entire staff of the restaurant have great synergy and charisma! Even though he couldn’t understand English as well, he absolutely tried his best, and even joked with us.
The restaurant decor is also simply splendid. It really immerses you in the meal and appreciating the culture, with the music too. It’s great! The washroom was clean to a T as well.
Thanks El Mexicano, and if I’m back in Switzerland, you bet I’ll be back!

FOOD: tasty food and well presented. They customised the order as we asked and gave us some spicy chilli sauces on request.
SERVICE: They were good but didn’t give 5 stars because we told them we don’t eat eggs but they put French dressing on the salad and forgot to replace it.
ATMOSPHERE: They have two halves, one modern and one old school which felt a bit odd. The entrance is in a block of offices or flats as well so there were no views to gaze at.

Pricey mexican restaurant with below average food. The interior decoration is nice, and they have a bright enclosed sunroom area on terrace. The food was not convincing on our visit. The “chicken enchilada” had two chicken fillings and one with dried out beef (!) filling, and a soggy corn on the cob as add on. Mind you I like beef, but this is not what I ordered. The edges of the enchilada were dried out just like the food hat sat out for too long, or maybe reheated in an oven. The vegetarian dish lacked flavor and did not look that fresh. The drinks are pricey, 14 CHF for a margaritha and 7 CHF for a beer. The service and staff is friendly and helpful but that does not make up for the other points. Would not go back.

Food was okay but portions were really good. For me, too expensive for the prices when you compare to other meals in Bern.
I rated it 3/5 cause the waiter was making not appropriate jokes and clearly tried hitting on my married friend, and he overall made everyone feel uncomfortable during the entire dinner time.

We have been to this restaurant recently for a dinner. First we ordered two starters – nachos with guacamole and jalapeño pepper cheese balls. Both were delicious. Quantity of nachos was huge, one plate should serve four people. Main dish we ordered just one since we were already full. We ordered chicken fajitas, it tasted good. Price is good, it costed about 70chf including drinks for two people. Recommended Mexican restaurant in Bern.
