It was just a regular Mexican restaurant, nothing really special except their specials for example on Tuesday you can get $0.99 Margaritas frozen or on the rocks(with ice). It had been awhile since I have eaten at this restaurant. I ordered chicken breast,with pineapple and ham cooked with it , My mistake! With the cooked ham it made everything on my plate so salty. That is could not eat it. My friend that went to eat with me basically got the same thing I did just no ham and she had a salad with her plate. I asked to add lettuce and sour cream to mine. The price in the end for 2 adult women was $45. That includes 2 meal plates, one soda, one water, side of sour cream, 2 orders of rice ( which came with chips and dip)to go for my friend’s husband supper. My friend ate all of her food. I took mine home and asked some of my family if they would want it. All said no because of the pineapple.

I am from Chicago, and stopped to eat here to try it out. I thought food was yummy, and the service was great. Place is clean, friendly staff, and good food. Next time I visit Indiana I will sure be back to “El Mazatlan”

Let’s start with the food, about average on the type but you get a lot for the cost. Decent price. However we had some really tough chicken that didn’t seem to be cooked fully. About 1/8 was not cooked or had issues. The other meals were okay. The waiter was very hard to understand and struggled to help out when questions were asked. Thought nice and respectful. They ran out of our drink in the middle of the meal and had to change the drink type.
One of the employees was cleaning tables with a cleaner that over powered the room and it made us feel like tasting cleaner as we ate our meal for nearly 10 mins. The floors were covered in trash and food but being carpet I assume that it’s hard to clean during business hours.
The waiter never got us a ticket to check out so we never saw the costs. We waited 10 mins after asking for a check and just went to the counter to check out. Again not listening to the price or what we got. The price seemed correct but took too long to get noticed and checked out.

Taco Tuesday is great!! Service tapers off once you’re served your meals. Requests for more chips & undelivered ordered condiments were ignored. Was wanting to order after dinner drinks, but our empty glasses were ignored for 30 minutes. The thing is, it’s wasn’t that crowded. Half the tables & booths were unoccupied.
