Came here for the first time and had the best dinner with family, which was large and the waitstaff was so accommodating. We had up to 10 and sat in minutes. It also helps if you can snag a reservation in advance if you do have a party that large. The atmosphere is super cool and very open, so you never feel constricted. The drinks are delicious and the food is all so flavorful and cooked to perfection. And the cheese sauce, it is amazing! Not too thin, not too thick, and it is full of flavor! Our waiter was awesome and never rushed us, even with such a large party. We will definitely be back. The brunch I hear is phenomenal, so that will for sure be the next move!

Service and food A+ and really enjoyed the atmosphere too. This sits in an old stone building where the stone walls remain exposed inside. Seating was comfortable and the noise level was low for easy conversation. LARGE varied menu with a vegetarian section! Enjoy a margarita, it was delicious too.

A spacious fun spot downtown great for any time of the day on your own or with a group. With daily specials it’s a win whenever. They have a variety of different dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. House made hot sauces that have a good level of heat while being full of flavor. The staff is engaging and friendly making for an enjoyable experience. A nice addition to downtown with outdoor seating to enjoy day or night on Jefferson Street.

Had brunch a few weeks ago and the food was very good: great salsa, large portions. No complaints
The problem we had was with the service. The brunch menu didn’t have prices listed and between our server, another server and even the bartender none of them knew. A few minutes later our server told us the brunch items were same price as the menu prices, which seemed too good to be true since you got a free appetizer and $1 margs.
After having a great meal we got the bill and each brunch item was listed as $25. I explained to the manager what we were told and initially he expected us to pay but after going over it again he agreed to honor what our server told us.

Let’s start with my biggest DISAPPOINTMENT, Margarita was syrup taste. Everything felt that it was fried in OLD frying oil, from the soggy French fries to the chips. Salsa for the chips was great, but chips was not good. The chori pollo the chorizo was good, but the chicken was VERY tasteless.

We were WOWed at the decor and ambiance! The breakfast menu was simple but great options. My kids loved the bacon and pancakes. My breakfast burrito was THE BEST i think i’ve ever had in Lynchburg. Coffee was right also and I’m picky about my coffee!

Since the Lynchburg location has opened, I’ve eaten here 5+ times. The food is absolutely delicious and fresh every time I go. The service is fast and they are always polite. They also have a cafe next door and the breakfast is very good. I would highly recommend you try them out over any other Mexican restaurant in the burg.

El Mariachi in Downtown Lynchburg opened in August 2023, open daily 7 am to 2 pm. It is in the location of the Dublin Coffee House off of Jefferson Street. The restaurant serves breakfast food and has a full espresso bar. The service is good and the staff are attentive. The atmosphere is chill and it would be a good study spot to have a burrito and a cup of coffee.
We ordered breakfast tacos and chorizo and eggs. They also sell classic Mexican pastries for a quick bite. The seasoning is decent but it could a bit more spice. Everything was fresh and came out hot.
The parking can be difficult, there is limited street parking but there is a large pay-by-the-hour parking lot adjacent to Jefferson street.

Overall a great experience, the service was kind and respectful and the atmosphere was a good mexican resturant feel and they had sport’s on. The food is relatively cheap and a good taste.
