I don’t where to start this review! This place is an amazing Mexican restaurant in kind of a dead area in Monroe. The staff were amazing and very helpful. It was on a Sunday so I was the only one there for most of my visit. The chips and salsa were very delicious and I forget the name of my entree but it came in a huge Molcajete. Overall enjoyable experience with staff and food. The food was also worth the price.

Went there for dinner had the pick two for $10.99 had the enchiladas and deluxe burrito too much food! Had the guacamole so fresh so good! I think it was all made from scratch!

Large portions! Very tasty! Everything was fresh & hot. Very impressed!! Good prices. They need a sign out front. If passing through you wouldn’t know it was there. We found it on google.

Just because your Hispanic and make food doesn’t make it Mexican food. This place is worse than texmex, I’m paralyzed and my legs are stronger than their alcoholic drinks and for the price not worth it. I’d say worse place to eat in Monroe.

Visited El Maguey in Monroe on Sunday May 23rd after reading reviews I was hesitant! However’ it was all very good food and service was great! We ordered the Cadillac Margaritas they were perfect.
I ordered the fajita salad and my husband ordered the burrito deluxe!! Food was great and service was fabulous! Definitely will be back!!!!

Great food good portion size!! When it comes time to pay they charge you some random meal price and they wont let you turn the page so you can show them what you ordered. Non alcholic drinks are the same price as Alcholic drink it was 10$ more than what I expected to expected to pay.

The food was… Okay? Not overwhelmingly good. The service was HORRIBLE. I was there for 2 hours and only eating for 20 mins. The rest of the time I was waiting on the server. I also didn’t get an itemized receipt so I had no idea how they figured it be $50 for a plate, a drink and two kids meals I will never go there again.

Meals were hot, quick and delicious. The beef chimichangas, burrito deluxe, and chili rellenos were a hit, all with left overs for lunch the next day! So glad to have El Maguey in Monroe!

Fajitas and Chips and Salsa were delicious. Lime margaritas on the rocks were also good. Would definitely come back again. One of the better local Mexican options close to Pella.
