My sisters came to visit me for the first time in Rhode Island, and we decided to go to Ellaham it was absolutely amazing! The food was so delicious and full of authentic Middle Eastern flavor; it truly reminded us of home. The service was excellent, everyone was so kind and welcoming, and the table was beautifully organized. My family couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved everything. Thank you, Ellaham, for giving us such a wonderful experience that made us feel close to our roots. Highly recommended! ❤️

Our family dinner at this restaurant was underwhelming. They brought an extra dish we didn’t order, and when I informed the waitress, she was dismissive and insisted we had ordered it. Although they eventually took it back, the interaction felt unprofessional.

The food quality didn’t help either—dry shish kebabs, cold bread, and overpriced lamb chops that didn’t justify the cost. Adding to the disappointment, the staff never checked on us after serving the food, giving the place more of a fast-food vibe than a proper dining experience.

Overall, I’d recommend considering other dining options. This was not worth the price or the experience.

Not the same service as it used to be. Soon to be out of business.

I have been going to this place since the old location. It’s been over 8-9 years. It used to be our go to place on weekends and Ramadan. The whole staff have changed and food quality is not the same as it used to be, but last night we had the worse experience.

My brother brought the drink from outside without knowing no outside drinks are allowed. Mind you, thats not how it used to be. Rules must have changed recently. When the staff reminded us, we apologized and said we were not aware but when it came time to pay, they charged us for the drink and said it doesn’t matter even if the drink is from outside we still charge for it as no outside drinks policy is mentioned on the door. Instant of telling us not to bring outside drink moving forward.

It’s not about $2-$3 drink but the situation could have handled differently with the old customers coming to the restaurant for 9 years.

My suggestion is to there are much better food options available with better quality and service. Don’t waste your time and money there.

I am so very glad we found this place — we haven’t had Middle Eastern food this good for a long time! So much flavor, amazing texture (the lamb literally fell off the bone), and huge portions (enough for two people or to make two meals out of the platters). We also really appreciated the service for take-out — good, human conversation. Real people, amazing food — super satisfying, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

I have been a loyal customer of El Laham since their second location, which closed after some time due to running out of business. Their food used to be good, but not anymore. The wings and fries were my usual order. However, the quality and portion sizes have noticeably declined.

During a recent visit, we noticed a new sign stating “No outside food or drinks,” but it did not mention that customers would be charged if they bring any in. I brought a drink from outside and was unexpectedly charged twice for it. When we questioned the charge, the staff became argumentative. I asked if, since I was being charged, they could at least provide the drink. They refused, meaning I was charged for something I never received which is robbery.

Overall, this experience felt unreasonable and unprofessional. I would recommend saving your money and dining elsewhere.

The food quality is absolutely amazing, and they offer free sweet tea. However, the service is very slow – we had to wait for 1 hour 30 minutes before getting our food. The tawouk sandwich, kibbeh balls, fattoush, arayis lahme, french fries, and baba ghannouj were perfect. The knefeh, chicken on rice, and hummus were just alright.

Delicious food. Baba ganoush is really good. Lamb kabseh’s flavor is nuts! Chicken and lamb shish took sandwiches are must try. Unlike other reviews, our order was served quickly. We were also told that we can also place our dine in order ahead of time .. which is actually good. All in all , it’s a decent restaurant offering amazing food and service .

Simply put the best middle eastern food I have eaten. Everything is freshly made to order. As other posters have noted, dont go here for service or a romantic dinner but rather to enjoy some really good authentic middle eastern food. Food takes a while to be served, so plan accordingly. After our visit from nyc my wife is contemplating a day trip just to this place. It was that good.

Disgusting behavior of the staff. Argued for hours for drinks that were brought from outside. They charged for it and didn’t even gave the drinks for the money they charged. The manager was not coming to solve the issue the staff girls were very disrespectful and very rude.

Got the lamb and chicken Schwarma. The food was gross and extra oily? Me and my partner couldn’t even finish our dinners and went to bed hungry.
