The next day, I returned to pick up the replacement order. After getting home and being halfway through the nachos, I found another foreign object in the food. I’m not sure what it was, but it felt like hard white glue similar to hot glue. I called again, asked to speak with a manager, and was told one was present. Their solution was for me to drive back across town with the half-eaten nachos in order to receive a refund…. Don’t recommend unless you like eating foreign objects
My wife and I visited El Jimador in Sandhills and had a very disappointing experience. We saw the sangria on special for $8 and decided to try it. When it arrived, there was no fruit at all in the glass—just red liquid. We tasted it and it honestly didn’t resemble sangria at all.
When we asked the server, she said the bartender told her they were out of fruit. Had we known that before ordering, we would’ve chosen something else. I asked if we could simply get another drink instead, but was told they could only replace the one we had (which made no sense, since they were out of what makes it a sangria in the first place).
I spoke to the manager, hoping for a reasonable resolution, but he only offered to discount half of the drink. I explained that we didn’t want a discount—we just wanted to order a different drink, especially since we were planning to order more throughout the evening. But he wouldn’t budge.
It was a small ask, and the way it was handled showed zero interest in customer satisfaction. If you’re going to nickel and dime a guest over a poorly made, incomplete drink rather than doing the right thing, you’re not going to earn return business. We won’t be back.
While seated at our table, the owner was engaged in a loud personal conversation nearby, using repeated profanity. It was disruptive enough that we asked our server , politely, if the volume could be lowered so we could enjoy our meal.
Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the owner sent the server back to tell us that we “should not have been listening” to his private conversation and that if we didn’t like it, we could leave.
As paying customers, we were not eavesdropping the conversation was loud and taking place in the dining area. Being told to leave rather than having a simple request handled respectfully reflects poor customer service and a lack of basic professionalism.
The food may or may not be good, but the atmosphere and management behavior made the experience uncomfortable. I expect a restaurant owner to model respect in their own establishment.
Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
Sooo I took my mother to this restaurant for the first time for $1.00 Margaritas Monday and let’s just say we WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
There was a huge language barrier with our server and she charged us ALL $9.00 for each margarita INSTEAD OF $1.00. Huge difference!!! We all ordered 3 margaritas and when we got our checks we were in shock.
After speaking to the “on shift” assistant manager he “adjusted” the drink to $5.00 each stating that’s the best he could do. $15 for $1.00 drink is INSANE! Sis thought we said Dahlia and we said DOLLAR ♀️
Again I ONLY CAME FOR $1.00 margaritas which was stated when we all arrived.
As for the food, the portion size is small and the $6.00 side of cheese was truly a teaspoon. Save your time, money and energy and head to san JOSE IN BLYTHEWOOD BC THEY WOULD NEVER
