We read the reviews so we stopped in on our way home from the Renaissance F÷stival. There was no wait, and the place.looked nice. However, that’s where the good experience ended.
I ordered the chinichanga, and my wife had the señorita plate. My chimichanga meal overall was cold. The rice and beans were cold, the filling was lukewarm, and the outside tasted like it had been sitting under a light. After two bites, I was done.
My wife’s dinner was mostly hot, but the portions were small, and the tamale was all masa and no meat.
No one checked on us until they brought the check. When I told them about my dinner, the manager only offered a small discount on my meal. When we went to check out, we explained the problems to the lady at the register. She finally made it right and adjusted the check accordingly.
Overall, the food and service weren’t worth the stop. Prices were inexpensive, but the food still wasn’t worth the cost.

We came into town for the big knife show and wanted to try someplace new. This place was right by the convention center, and food smelled so good. We had to stop.
This place is quite large. They have several big rooms and looks like a party room off to the right for bigger groups.
The chips and salsa were good, similar to most Mexican restaurants. What makes this place better is the Jalapeño ranch. Who knew this was a thing, and it would taste so good with chips and salsa!! It was so good, I had to push it away so I wouldn’t eat it all.

We went to eat at El Jimador cause the other Mexican restaurant in town was crowded. Both mine and my husband’s food was bad. He said his beef in his enchilada tasted funny. I had quesadillas with beef. They didn’t taste bad but I had a funny after taste in my mouth afterwards. We did not enjoy our food

It has been a while since dining here & decided to give it another try. It smelled of cigarette smoke near the restroom. Restrooms were clean. However, the drain was not secure with a cover so someone could have hung their foot. The food was hot and fresh. The service was good.

This is our go to in town. We recently went back 2 days ago for some Miches which are the best around the area and chip w/queso. The waiter are always friendly and welcoming. They also pretty much know us there. Definitely a place to go. Plus the space from outside to in the restaurant or either of their 2 bar areas especially the back one good enough for big parties.
