Food and service are always top notch! I’ve been eating here for years and have not had a bad experience yet. Always clean and the food is always fresh. They have another larger El Jarrito in town but this is the better spot. Cozy and less hectic.

There was no waitress to be found after entering so we just went ahead getting a table instead. It took them few minutes to notice we were there and got us the menus. Service was slow, and they charged 4% service fee on top of our bill. We didn’t tip because of that sneaky practice. Food was ok and generous portion.

Hours showed that they were open until 10:30. Due to Covid-19 I elected to call ahead. They said they were only willing to do so for large numbers. I told them that they had 12 and they said ok I’ll be there in 5 minutes. I showed up and spoke in person with the one I spoke with on the phone. And suddenly it was no longer what he spoke with me on the phone. Obviously I didn’t try any of the food. But I can tell you the customer service was embarrassing!

What a disappointment. We were a group of three one plate was good, one plate was okay and I had the carne asada and it was awful it was so over cooked it was like jerky. It was hard to cut and impossible to chew. I like the restaurant as a whole but I will avoid that dish.
