A friend of mine told me this place was in his top 3 Mexican joints in the area so I gave it a try on the way home from Jackson, MS.
This is an older building but my friend says he likes this one better than the new one they built on the next exit down.
I was seated quickly but it took a few minutes to get chips & salsa and for them to take my order. They didn’t seem to have many people working on this Friday night. But I’m sure much of the traffic has shifted to their new location.
I enjoyed the chips & salsa. They were above average for our area.
I ordered the Steak Street Tacos and they were excellent. The steak had such a great flavor and was tender unlike most Mexican restaurants. Steak seems to be one of their specialties judging from the menu.
Would I go back? That answer is definitely. I can’t wait to take my wife and see what she thinks. We love our Mexican food.

We were staying next door for a week on business and ate here almost every night. Everything we had was excellent! We really loved the Molcajete!!! The staff was amazing and it’s just a great place to hang out too.

Great Mexican food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The salsa for the nachos has just the right amount of spice and fantastic mix of tomatoes and cilantro. Their Mocaljete is superb. Will come back!!!

I am being generous with giving this place a 1 star because the option for a 0 star was not given!!!
WHERE DO I BEGIN….1…this was the MOST DISGUSTING PLACE I’ve ever been in.
2… food was cold and nasty. Tostado was cold, nasty and raw. Chips were greasy and stale. Cheese enchilada was not done… the corn tortilla was raw. Refried beans were just ok. Guacamole and salsa was good. The taco barely had any cheese.
3) the tables outside had food left over on them when we arrived and was still there when we left.
4) They wiped the food that was left on the tables (when they finally decided to “clean”) onto the floor, with us sitting there watching!!! SO DISGUSTING!!!
Not sure how ANYONE would give them a one star rating let alone a five star rating!!! Unless they’re being paid!!!
I will be reporting this restaurant to the LA HEALTH DEPARTMENT!!!

Waiter could have been a little friendlier. Prices were very reasonable. 2 for 1 Margaritas was nice and was happy that the water brings plenty of Salsa. I had the Crawfish Enchiladas, and while they looked good and tasted ok was kind of sick rhe next couple of days

Food was good. We got steaks and sides (black beans, grilled veggies, salad). Salad was not great. Just shredded lettuce, tomato and cheese and bagged dressing. Black beans were delicious! The grilled veggies were seasoned perfectly and delicious! Steaks were cooked perfect as well – medium rare.
Kids got quesadillas and enchilada. Both were good and ate them all.
