This place is wonderful. It’s small and there isn’t a small army of staff running around (this is a good thing). The few people manning the restaurant are attentive and polite as well as fluent in both English and Spanish. Despite the small number of staff, the time it takes you getting your meal is really quick… all things considered. The food is really delicious and please keep in mind that they serve very large portions. Don’t over order…. be ready to ask for a to go box.

Was there eating during a work lunch. Got to the bottom of our bowl of chips and there was an old shrimp tail in it. They’re reusing chips from tables. Pointed out to the staff and they didn’t do anything about it. Never going back.

Went on a Saturday at 5:00pm. The exterior was nasty. Trash everywhere along with extension cords and other crap. We’re setting quickly because no one else was in the restaurant. Had to ask three times to get queso. There were 8 in our party. Food was just okay…nothing great. Had to ask for our tickets to pay the check. We were told to go to the cashier to check out and pay. At the register, we told the person what we ordered and we were just told a price. No printed check to look at. Our party of 8 included 4 checks (4 couples). All of us were overcharged going by what the menu stated prices were. Plus the 4% up charge for using a card. Without seeing what we were paying for, they got away with massive overcharging. WE WILL NOT GO BACK!

The food was good. I really liked the salsa, even if it was still partially frozen. The dinner portion was more than adequate. Service was speedy. The table that I was seated at had not been cleaned. It still had chip and food crumbs left on the table and in the seats. Not the cleanest place that I have eaten at but certainlynot the worst by far.

Do not recommend this place at all. Parking lot was a mess with scattered trash; thought was closed at first , but had cars in parking lot; after ordering drink, was brought the wrong drink 4 times, and telling him the same thing, the menus were disgusting with dried up food stuck on them, bathroom didn’t even have soap to wash my hands after this awful experience. Didn’t waste my time telling staff bc I was just ready to go. Health Department should actually take a visit here in my opinion.

I went in at 10 because Google said they were open until 11p. The door was open and the OPEN sign was on. The girl at the front stopped me before I could even get to the stand & told me they were closed. They don’t even have a phone number online to call orders in.

All 3 platters we ordered were off it seemed like the meat had gone bad and they still served it. Talked to the manager just to let them know and he said that yea over 4th of July weekend alot of stuff was bad and they had to work with whatever they had until they restocked. I think they just should of stayed closed instead of serving people rotten food. FYI we still payed and tip like we always do. .

Misleading Information and Disappointing Service
I called El Jarrito to confirm their operating hours before visiting, but when I arrived, the restaurant was closed earlier than I was told. The staff provided inaccurate information over the phone, leading to wasted time and frustration. The lack of professionalism and accountability in their communication was disappointing. I hope they improve their customer service and avoid similar issues in the future.

Food wasn’t that great. Not totally awful, but I’m from Texas where good Mexican food isn’t hard to come by. Dirty restrooms. The place itself doesn’t look well-kept and the condition of the restrooms had me concerned about the kitchen.
