I ordered a potato and egg taco for my toddler and a barbacoa taco for myself. The server came back with my toddlers taco and told me he couldn’t find the barbacoa. What does that even mean! My toddler didn’t eat his taco. The tortilla was cold and hard. I tasted it and it had no flavor aside from being hard. I would not come again. Also, it was $9.83 for that taco and a coffee.

The El Jardin Mexican Cafe is a great spot for a traditional Mexican breakfast or an American breakfast if you prefer. The place is very casual, nothing fancy but with great food and super friendly service. They serve breakfast and lunch and are one of the best spots we have found in the city.

If you’re looking for “hole in the wall” authentic Mexican breakfast this is your place! Family owned and operated with a touch of love and care is how I would describe this restaurant. The food is delicious and made “con puro corazón”❤️

I had high hopes for El Jardine Mexican Cafe, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The service lacked warmth and hospitality, which set a negative tone from the start. As for the food, it was underwhelming—especially the bacon in my burritos, which was some of the worst I’ve ever had. I tried three different burritos, but each time, the quality was just not there. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

We needed a place to eat after we returned from our Carnival Cruise. We found El Jardin Mexican Restaurant and gave them a try and now we are telling everyone about our hidden treasure in Galveston. Thank for such exceptional service at a great price. We will be eating there everytime we are in Galveston. #tablefor5

My family of 4 came in right around brunch. It wasnt very crowded, fast service, good food. We were wanting authentic mexican food and that is what we got. Homemade flour tortillas were good. my husband ordered the guisado and he said it had good flavor. Beans were good to eat straight with the tortilla. Good experience overall, we would visit again.
