This place is so good! They have an extensive menu that includes seafood, soups, traditional Mexican dishes and breakfast as well as aguas frescas. We’ve tried the flautas, sopes, huaraches, tacos dorados, enchiladas, French fries and agua de melon & Jamaica. Their coffee is served hot and is very tasty. They give chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. They get busy and sometimes it takes them a while to come around for refills but overall the staff is nice and the food comes out quickly. Since discovering this hidden gem, we’ve already been back twice and will continue to return. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the portions are great as well.

I stopped by El Jalisco today and honestly, the food wasn’t anything special—just average at best. When I asked if they charged extra for using a debit card, they told me it would be $2.50, which is pretty steep. I ended up just paying cash and left a small tip—because honestly, between the mediocre food and the surprise fee, it didn’t feel worth more. It’s okay, I guess, but there are definitely better spots around.

Please be careful, only went once and this place gave me food poisoning. They really need to be more careful with the food storing and preparation.

Idk about the food at this restaurant but the food truck needs help they need to use better quality meat it almost looks like carne molida de puerco or chicken. Who knows…The onions taste horrible they either the have them sitting in the heat or something but that was the worst I ever had. they replace 3 items cuz they swear everything is fresh made, and she said there’s has to been a mistake…I said okay we will try again. but honestly the meat is probably the cheapest meat with didn’t get onions the second time, it is not carne asada though it taste like cooked beef or some sort of beef it was so salty, Very disappointing. I did give them 2 stars for good rice and beans. Customer service was decent. She really tried to be nice. Going back the food…The salsa tasted water down, it taste like tomatillos with water. I think I’ll leave it at that. And I know good food and good cooking. I cook a lot at home so when I eat out I want to be a treat not a disappointment. Here’s pic of the “carne asada” nachos.
Replying to the owner, cuz there no other option, first and for most you lied to us and said you couldn’t able to refund the 3 items that were spoiled from last night cuz you weren’t authorized to do so. So we gave you the opportunity to prove us that WE were wrong. Cuz you said no one complain about your guys food no one. you’d also said you could only do credit. I told you we could take you the bad items, we still had the food and you said throw it away. So my husband drove all the way over there to get the replacement. And I never said cheap customer, I said the customer around there must be used to your food. Cuz we have had better quality food burritos and tacos am sorry but that’s the truth. I assumed you were trying to make things right as an employer but you were actually the owner so next time just do the refund and move on. Cuz we called last night 2 times they told to call this morning so it was already alot, it had ruined our Friday night. And don’t say my husband is liar because he told he you had the receipt he wasn’t trying to give you the number and your were like yeah I have it you wouldn’t letting him explain, we were Not trying to get anything free. Anyways let move on Thank you again for trying and have a blessed one too.

Ordered birria (goat stew) no flavor to broth hardly any accual goat and no special sauce to add to stew. If you are a birria lover then you know if they dont have the right sauce then it can’t be called birria, especial if you are calling yourself “El Jalisco.” Jalisco Mexico is known for the Best Birria.

Hands down number 1 authentic Mexican food restaurant in my book. The Al pastor tacos are always a great choice and can really hit the spot. Stays open late and is consistent with great service. Keep up the good work

The truck is gone and their restaurant is open again! I’ve had their fish tacos 3 or 4 times now. They hook it up with heaping servings of piping hot fresh fish. Taco Nazo doesn’t hold a candle to these guys!

With all this Covid stuff going on, they have a food truck parked outside the restaurant to make it quick and easy to get a quick bite to eat. So far I have only gotten street tacos…only a buck each and they are delish! They obviously have a lot of other things on the menu but because I take a quick lunch and eat in my car the tacos are perfect for that.
The service is super fast and the people are very friendly. I almost think they could have more business if they parked their truck facing the street because it kind of looks like the truck is just parked in the driveway.
I would definitely recommend El Jalisco Cafe and cant wait for them to open up the restaurant for dine in.

This is a follow up to my first review that was happening in the middle of all this COVID stuff…
I went there last week and noticed their food truck wasn’t open and I was a bit sad thinking they closed…but luckily they were now open in the dining room!
I decided to stray from my usual $1.00 tacos and got their chilaquiles for dine-in. The staff is super friendly and I think it was the first day they were open because they were getting back into the swing of serving tables again. Great food and great staff! Please go an support this local business!
