The waitresses and waiters are very accommodating here in friendly and pleasant, why I even gave this place a 3 star rating.
The food’s adequate, but I personally had better authentic Mexican food. Personally I like my burritos to be fried not just covered in cheese sauce without being steamed at least. The onions are not sauteed which is a problem for my palate so I skipped the onions. The lettuce is in its middle aged adulthood, approaching seniority. There was some browning action going on upon arrival, but I’m not too picky so we ate the food with gusto. And in terms of the atmosphere, you can hear people upstairs running down the hall. I was like, . If you want authentic in a unique way… I guess come here…???

I was concerned about coming in on a Friday, expecting it to be busy. Not! Just me and another family. Steady takeout, though.
No Bar. It is definitely a Jalisco menu similar but with many touches like grilled cactus and other trimmings.
Prices fair, tableware restaurant standard with medium weight flatware and glass cups.
Corn tortilas are offered along with flour as you choose. Very nice
Shrimp had tails in the fajitas. Which means eating you have to de-tail before or spit out tails after
Not the nicest for tableware manners yet they do add flavor and certainly worth the work. All in all, a nice meal.
I spoke to the other family and this is their go-to place. They like the food and is quiet, which is good for the child. They love the food
This is a good choice for something a little different. Nice enough, not crowded and good food
However, with two other Mexican restaurants within shouting distance, there are other choices too.

Wonderful place, really welcoming! Our server was very patient and had a positive attitude. The chips and salsa that were given to us were pretty good, the salsa wasn’t very spicy (good for picky eaters), and the chips were fresh and sturdy for good dipping! I enjoyed that when ordering tacos, we could choose our own meat for either each of them or for all four! I’d give this place a 100/5 stars for their authenticity for the food and the drinks 😀 I hope this place never goes out of business as I’d definitely want to come again!

A rare find of excellent choices for food. We tried the special: machete and tamales. Both taste amazing! The drink that contains rice and cinnamon complement the food so well! Chocoflan is much better than I expected, egg custard tastes so creamy and rich. Everything we had is outstanding! We’ll be back when we’re in town next time!

This is not a cookie cutter Mexican style restaurant. They have their own unique style which makes it stand out. We were hesitant to try but glad we did. French fries with Queso along side chips and queso/salsa is definitely a new fav. The chicken quesadilla was delicious and perfectly portioned with toppings inside (without all of the extra lettuce, onion, guac, sour cream mess)I was surprised to see that it did not come with rice but you can order that on the side if you wish. The carne asada was also delicious and a big portion. The restaurant was very clean. The staff was super attentive and friendly which made this visit top notch. We will be back! Also – they do charge extra for using a card so bring cash!!

We had the chicken enchiladas one with the red sauce and the other the green sauce. The only flavor was the hot sauce I added to the enchiladas. The salsa was so bland that I had to add hot sauce in order for the salsa to have flavor. On a good note the rice was good. Also it was disturbing to hear the loud Bass music and the people running upstairs we could hear it was we were eating our food. It sounded like someone was going to fall through the ceiling.

We decided to try the takeout from here since we had not ordered anything since a new restaurant came into the space. I placed the order online; the restaurant was very clean and tidy, the food was ready when requested- plenty of parking, restrooms available and plenty of seating. We will be coming back! My daughter said, “birthday dinner, mom”- everyone enjoyed the food it was savory and disappeared from the table immediately

Food was excellent, I had the California burrito and my girlfriend had the pina loca. Both were delicious. The salsa and guacamole were amazing as well. I wasn’t a big fan of the guac but that’s because I don’t care for cilantro, my girlfriend really liked it. Frozen pineapple marg was very good but hard to tell if there was much tequila in there.

In a town loaded with Mexican restaurants, this place stands out. They serve things that not all places have, like ceviche, shrimp cocktail, aquachile, molcajetes, huaraches, and others. I had a machete, which is like a super long quesadilla filled with your choice of meat, cheese, and avocado. I also had their pozole, which came with the traditional plate of condiments for topping the soup. They serve Mexican breakfasts, delicious desserts, and fancy mocktails. There was atole and cafe de olla for a warm drink after dinner. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. This was my first visit, but not my last!

My family and I tried El Jalisco near the end of their first week being open, and it was great! The food was delicious, and it came in large portions. I had the piña loca (crazy pineapple) which came filled with shrimp, steak, and chicken with a plate full of veggies on the side and tortillas. My wife had the California burrito which I also tasted, and can confirm it was delicious, as the cheese it was covered in was flavorful and pleasantly spicy! We went in the early afternoon when there weren’t too many people, and we didn’t need to wait long for the food to come out. The prices are also very reasonable considering how large the portions are. While they are still ironing out some kinks due to being so new (menus need to be updated and decor somewhat reflects what used to be there), I’m looking forward to the next time I can bring my family to eat there and try something new!
