I did a to go since I work early. Did not take long I have a hard time finding someone to make chilaquiles in this style usually they are square and soggy I prefer this style slightly crunchier and more Mexican style. I don’t like mozzarella I was given the opportunity of fresh cheese so they definitely accomidate. Very tasty! I am glad I found a restaurant I can trust! Been looking for a good one since I moved. ☺️

Hidden Gem in South Texas, I highly recommend this establishment to all my fellow first responders. The staff are very friendly and polite with big smiles. The food presentation was exceptional and the food was amazing.

Tried this place out for the first time, I really wanted to like it but the food was off, some of it was hot like if certain portions were microwaved before being put together. It was odd tasting since some spots were really hot in the dish and others cold in the same bite. I asked for the eggs término medio and received them fully cooked, sad this didn’t live up to the hype. Staff were friendly.

We ordered a bit of everything. The food was good. But be prepared to spend. Drinks are sold separate and they are not fountain drinks. The place is not so big, so be prepared to wait to be seated. Other than that it’s a good meal.

The best chilaquiles, the only bad thing is that they are close by 4pm. Sometimes I want chillaquilles for dinner. We had the REKETE chilaquiles mini omg its huge, with panela cheese. ALWAYS delicious.

Everytime I’m at the valley this is where we want to have brunch, the chilaquiles are so good!!! My husband’s favorite , they’re a bit spicy but if u can handle heat these are bomb , the portions are also great u won’t go hungry. Last time I had the tacos a la plancha and they were really good too

El Itacate has some of my favorite Salvadoran and Mexican food. From pupusas to chilaquiles, to tacos, delicious options for breakfasts, lunch and dinner, they won’t disappoint.

My favorite is the Tacos Llorarás (you will cry taco) which features a handmade corn tortillas stuffed with a chile relleno made of jalapeño and cream cheese, plus a flavorful beef birria. Add your garnish and salsa of choice, and if the heat of the chile doesn’t make you cry, you will eventually cry if you cannot return soon. It’s that good!

Drinks are either Jamaica (aguas frescas style).

This location is right across the road from the Sam’s Club on South Jackson Road. There is additional parking in the back.

Family friendly.

Amazing chilaquiles verdes!!! Literally the best I’ve tried. My husband had pupusas and they were really good too. Plus the portions are more than enough for all appetites I’d say
A good experience overall.

*only thing is I wish they had fountain drinks

This is a no-frills, small in-and-out type of restaurant, the food was excellent. We placed two separate orders: one tacos a la plancha on a flour tortilla, and the other tacos a la plancha on corn tortillas.

My plate arrived first, and the flour tortilla tacos were delicious — well-seasoned and cooked just right. There was about a 10-minute delay before the second order came out, which was a bit of a hiccup, but once the corn tortilla tacos arrived, they were just as flavorful and satisfying.

To top it all off, the cucumber celery lemonade was really good — super refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal.

Overall, the experience was great. The tacos were packed with flavor, and everything tasted fresh. A solid little spot for a quick and tasty bite. No beans though.
