We found this place by looking for someone off I95 just getting into VA.
The reviews were good and it was right off the highway.
I was surprised to see all the car parked up front.
This place had a lot of surprises.
The food was better than I expected.
The service was excellent. Abigail was our server. She took our order and in less than a minute of putting it in. She was back out with our drinks. Chips and salsa.
Not 7 more minutes pass and our order was being brought out.
This place is a fantastic place to come eat if you’re in the area.

I’m from the area, moved away a few years back, and stopped here for the first time in a couple of years. Their prices have risen over 40% over the last two years yet they still charge a 4% fee for using a credit OR debit card. The portions we received after paying $16 per plate were ridiculous (same plates were $11 less than 2 years ago). Don’t get ripped off, spend your money elsewhere.

Returned for a Sunday dinner around 2pm. Service was great, our food came pretty quickly. There wasn’t a crowd at this hour. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ladies working were great; they worked as a team. I love seeing that.

Been travelling on a US roadtrip for about a week and this was one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Mexican food was delicious and reminded me of home. Service was excellent and the staff was really friendly. Even held the door open for us as we left.
We got 2 items from their lunch menu: fajita parrillada (pictured) and two enchiladas verdes. We also got churros. Highly recommend.

We were on the way to NC where we live and got off the exit to go to the shell across the street from here. Wanted some tacos so ended up going across the street to El Huasteco and let me tell you this place was delicious! I had the Birria tacos (as you can see I had already took a bite) and my husband had 3 hard tacos when they say ground beef they not talking about hamburger, it’s actual chopped up really fine beef which was delicious It was very flavourful, hot, and the restaurant was clean and very nice atmosphere. We were very happy with what we got. I also had a agua de horchata and it was huge.If you want a good place to eat this is it! My husband and I will be making that 2 hour trip to come here him and I.
