Very disappointed in my lunch today. I ordered one gordita for myself. When it arrived, it looked more like a sandwich. The two pieces of corn dough were totally separated. I asked the waitress to please take it back and ask if they could redo it and make it a pocket filled Lunch as it should be. She quickly came back to let me know that they would not be exchanging it because this is the way they make it and they’re not going to waste food so I need to keep it and pay for it. I asked for them to take it back and let me order something different off the menu. She said I could order something additional, but I would still have to pay for the uneaten untouched (at that time) plate.
The manager was called over and basically said the same thing. They claimed they have banking Gorditas this way for 15 years. I picked up the top part to show that it was completely separated, but she double down and insist that it’s the way they make them.
I included photos of Google search results which all show Gorditas the way they should be versus the way they are made at this Taqueria in Uvalde.
Will not be coming back to this location

Got a half empty to go container. Food was cold.oddly enough if you dine in the chilaquiles served are entirely different and a decent serving size. I didn’t pay $18 for a child’s plate. Do better please. Drive through wouldn’t correct the issue in the first place.

This has been our go-to spot for many years! Their food is consistently good, and the service is always friendly and attentive! We’re always greeted so warmly, especially since we’re regulars. It’s really one of my favorite spots in town. This is the place we take our out of town folks to experience a genuine Uvalde Mexican food experience every time!

Portions are generous. Shrimp was good on parilla. Beans served were lukewarm, had to ask for them reheated. Chips are good- salsa not so much. Additional fee of $1.25 after first round of chips. Credit card fee $1.50 to pay by card. To go styrofoam plates or cups.. .35/each. More fees than any place I’ve ever ate at. But good food.

They had the hot sauce in 5 gallon buckets (that were still dirty on the outside) filling them in the dinning area with customers and servers walking by and all around with the small containers in the booth seats and all over the floor. Was told this was normal due to lack of kitchen space and they weren’t busy so what’s wrong. All tables were taken except for 3 with more people coming in as I left.

La comida es buena pero grasienta. We had dinner here early yesterday evening. Service was quick. Chips and salsa were good though light on the serving size. The boys had the kids’ Cheese Enchilada ($5.50 each). Wife had the Monterrey Chicken ($8.99). I had the Burrito Jalisco ($8.75). We cleaned our plates and rolled out stuffed! Good food just a bit greasy though.

I usually buy from the one on main st and this morning we bought from the one on Getty and the meat was reheated and dry and to top it off looks what was in our meat! Staff was very nice but the manager never came out he had the waitresses handle it
