The best Peruvian food in the district. The chef is awesome. This is a small business out of a food truck but deserve to be in a restaurant. The food is made fresh nothing pre cooked. If you want the best Peruvian food you must come here and try their food.
12/06/2025 Update:
This has gone from a very good Peruvian Food Truck, to a very bad Peruvian Food Truck. The change in management has also affected the food. I would not recommend this place. The food changed for the negative drastically.

I ate from here yesterday and I got to say they make a real good Lomo Salteado. Is hard to find real good Peruvian food around the area so they are doing a great job. I will recommend you to try it!

Really Bad Food, I usually don’t return food, if I don’t like it o just don’t come back but in this place it was so bad that I had to give it back after one bite. Causa had whole pieces of potatoes and ceviche did not even had lime, it tastes horrible. Stay away from this place. I had been in places that has bad food but this place was disgusting food.

First time in the area. Traveling from New Jersey and I had a craving for some ceviche !!! To my luck there was a Peruvian restaurant near me and oh my goodness!!! They didn’t disappoint at any level of service. The chef personally came out to greet us and took our order. Everything is made fresh and it showed in their presentation. I recommend this place to anyone looking to try some authentic Peruvian food. I would give a 100 stars if I could

Coming from Miami it’s been a pain finding good food in Haines city especially for the wife and I we are foodies. This place is good like real good everything we’ve eaten so far has been awesome, the food is fresh and the service is great we went twice in two days just to try different foods we now can say we have another good place in Haines city. Take it from me I am very picky and the wife is even worse this is a hidden gem do not sleep on this. Prices are good and portions are great they customized a yuca a la huacaina for my wife which is not even on their menu that’s a testament to their service. Just get up and drive there now you won’t regret it.

I ordered from El Gusto Peruano on Uber Eats first time trying it.
Seafood Asopado: Good flavor overall, but it was a bit salty and greasy, though still tasty.
Tuna Causa: Very good flavor, definitely a highlight.
Pasta a la Huancaína with Shrimp: We ended up just eating the shrimp the pasta had no flavor at all.
Pescado a lo Macho: Decent flavor, but not the best I’ve had. The biggest issue was the rice it wasn’t fully cooked.
Not sure if I’d order from this restaurant again.

El gusto peruano! was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere
The menu is a tribute to the richness of Peruvian gastronomy: diverse, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared. I had the classic ceviche, and without exaggeration, it was one of the best I’ve ever had—ultra-fresh fish, perfectly balanced citrus, and just the right touch of spice, served with sweet potato and crunchy corn. I also tried the lomo saltado, which was outstanding: tender beef sautéed to perfection with fresh vegetables and that unmistakable wok flavor.
The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the dishes, and eager to offer great
recommendations. You can feel their passion for what they do, and that makes a real difference.
I ordered one Ceviche, one Lomo salteado, Arroz chaufa!
