This is quickly becoming one of my favorite mexican restaurants in the area. El Guadalaja offers authentic dishes, that I think personally tops those of the commercial restaurants in the area. (What really did it for me was the big grilled jalapeños and green onion shoots). There Choriqueso or Queso Fundito with chorizo and both ok die for. Sometimes I’ll get just that, but there other dishes do not disappoint. Big and flavorful portions, I have yet to try a dish that I didn’t like, and same goes for my man. They are always quick and the food comes out extra hot and great every time. The Birria tacos with beans or and my man loves the Carne asada and elotes, otherwise we get a mochahet/hot lava bowl? And split it. Absolutely amazing

Visited February 18, 4:00 pm. Service was good. Food was excellent. We both tried something new and loved them. Music was a little loud, but not nearly as bad as Casa Azteca, where we turned around and left. This will be our first choice next time in town.

It absolutely pains me to give this review. Was in the mood for birria so I put birria into google maps and this place popped up 4.5 stars and the comment about the best birria drew me in. I’ve had alot of birria see my other reviews every single one 5 stars. This was almost inedible. First off the salsa for the chips was I don’t even know how to describe it, tasteless puree. Chips were warm about the best thing of this meal. Food was ready in 4 mins that should tell you something. Beef was flavour less and id have to say “beef” there was so many huge globules of fat. The consume was ok at best. I ate in the restaurant, the tacos were so soggy underneath the cheese tasted like cream cheese. When the bill came in at 13$ I felt a bit better. At that price you get what you pay for. Perhaps here in the middle of no where this is great birria. I was shocked because the cooks and staff barely spoke English. I would have expected better. Come on guys raise your prices and make some quality food. Maybe I’m spoiled by the west coast….. If I had to judge based on price alone I’d give this a 2.2 out of 5

Had a great first time experience here today.
Even though they didn’t have a breakfast burrito on the menu, they were very accommodating and added an egg. It was delicious. Along with a side of Guac.
I only gave a 4 because I did think the Guac was a tad bit expensive. $12.99 And it stated 16 oz. Which would have been ok, but I don’t think I received 16 oz. Pic below.

The Del Birria specials were AWESOME!
Fajitas were great as well. I only docked the atmosphere because it was cold.. but they have a huge wall of windows.. so that’s tough.
