Amazing pizza! Had regular crust the first time, really good. Then tried thin today and it is perfect, can taste all the toppings, cheese is good, crispy in the right places. My new go to for pizza! Owner/workers always friendly and great atmosphere!

Food is amazing here if it wasn’t for Jerry the man behind the masterpieces it wouldn’t be the same. Never have to wait along time. Food is always fresh. Pizza taste great wings are amazing. Jerry always has a smile and is great to talk to as well. They also make the best slices in town for only 6.00 you can feed 2 people with one slice!!! Definitely coming back every time.

I just ordered from Black Rose Pizza on Empire Blvd. Couldn’t be more pleased. Right from the friendly girl taking the order, to being ready on time, and being delicious! I like my wings very crispy and they were perfect. Pizza was hot and full of mozzarella and pepperoni. I will definitely be returning to Black Rose!

I called on Friday night at 11pm. I had Googled to see if there were any pizza places open late & Black Rose popped up. I had never heard of it. I took a chance & called & ordered a large. 3 toppings on 1 half & 3 different toppings on the other. Plus extra sauce on half. One of the toppings I ordered was spinach. They did not skimp on it. And they didn’t place a few leaves here & there. They put piles of fresh, dark green, beautiful spinach all over my half of that pie!! Normally, if I had ordered this pizza from any other establishment here in Rochester, it would cost me upwards of $35. Closer to $40 something. $29.59!! Are you kidding me?! And, most importantly, it was DELICIOUS!! The End.

I’m so disappointed ! I ordered a steak sub they had no lettuce the cashier said they carry no items that need to be refrigerated… OK so I ordered the sub anyways. Besides the bread tasting charred the meat was real and seasoned good. The pizza rolls and mozzarella sticks were ok. But instead of marina sauce I was given tomato sauce as dipping sauce. Tomato sauce is bitter and marinara sauce has seasonings and is a bit sweet. Had I not been bringing the food up to my sick husband I would have returned it. Overall I won’t order from here again unless it’s pizza and wings or fried dough.

We live right down the street from them, since finding out it wasn’t pontillos. That still didn’t stop us from our every Friday family pizza night & since trying we’ve become hooked and have ordered from them the last month now. Very well clean inside, amazing friendly employees who make pizza the old style way with throwing tossing dough up in the air. Their pizza dough has a nice crunch bite throughout the whole thing no doughy tasting at all. Which our family loves. Amazing prices, don’t let the name change stop you. Stop in giving them a try!

I just had the best slice of pizza in Rochester in over 30 years. Haven’t had a whole pie or anything else but this joint gets 5 stars for the slices. Can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been coming here for a few years, it’s my favorite pizza & sauce! I usually pick it up when I’m at my apartment and I always talk with the counter girls and Chef! They are so nice! When I go to my moms we always grub hub it, and it’s always so fresh & cheesey! I was nervous when I saw they changed from Pontillos to black rose because I thought maybe the recipes changed but I called and they said same sauce & I’m ecstatic about it!
