I ordered the steak fajitas and they were amazing. The steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything tasted really fresh, from the vegetables to the tortillas. The portion was great and the food came out hot. You can tell they take pride in their food here. I’ll definitely be ordering this again!

I have no idea why so many people in Clarksville consider this authentic Mexican food. I have gone here three times now and each time the food felt looked and tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. The carne asada meat was bland smooth uniform in color no grill marks no seasoning. Everything is just average and mediocre nothing great nothing bad. But I will take West Coast over this any day.

Soon as I got the food in the car I could smell it was authentic Mexican food. Seasoned well priced right and the salsas hit. Lots of options to pick from, drive thru convenience place your order at the window, drive around to the pick up window. Food was fresh and didn’t have to wait longer then 10 minutes to get it.

I absolutely love this place! Authentic Mexican food at its finest taste!! I stop almost daily for my morning “guacamole” routine. The gals at the window are always so pleasant, greet with beautiful smiles on their faces and know exactly what I order before I even say it!

THE BEST STREET TACOS I HAVE EVER HAD! I moved here from Chicago and fell in love with the al pastor here. The meats are extremely flavorful. So far I have had the carnitas, burrito, chimichanga, and tacos. Everything has been delicious and I really enjoy their rice. Don’t pass this place up if you want authentic (not Tex-mex) street tacos.

Delicioso! First time trying this drive thru restaurant, after noticing how they are always busy. Not only was everything hot, all this was only $8.99! I had the chimichanga (which was cooked perfectly!) plate with refried beans and rice. It came with two small containers of the freshest green and red salsas I have ever gotten from a restaurant. The employees were very friendly and I didn’t have to wait long for my food at all. I’ll definitely be back!
Update: I’ve been back to El Grullo several times since my last review. This time, I wanted to try something new as I always greeyt either the chimichangas or tacos (both so good!) so I ordered the Steak Rancheros. It was also tasty and came with fresh corn tortillas, rice, and refried beans. A new favorite! I have yet to be disappointed with this place!

Tonight I ordered the Pizzabirria but I also get the pollo loco too at times. I’ve been going to this place now for that last 5 months and it never fails in impress me. The staff is always so pleasant and amazing. No matter what I have ordered, the food is always hot and fresh. So very delicious and did I mention it’s normally pretty quick to get through. It’s very rare that I sit there for more than 10 mins. I can’t get through McDonald’s or Taco Bell without sitting for 30 mins or so. Some nights I pass this place and cars are stop on the street waiting to get in. That should tell you all you need to know ♥️
