I used El Gran Agave to make an elevated grazing table for our holiday party of about 100 people and I cannot say enough how impressed I was!!! Angelina was so easy to work with, very responsive and did an amazing job on our spread. Not only was the food delicious- we got empanadas, tamales, taquitos, salsa/dip and chips, veggies and a charcuterie board, but the presentation far exceeded my expectations. It was so beautiful and festive. We got so many compliments from our guests.

We had an absolutely perfect experience at this El Gran Agave. Every single dish was fresh, homemade, and full of flavor, and the drinks were outstanding — mine was sweet in the best way, without being sugary. Our waitress was exceptional. She took real pride in her work, explained the specialty dishes, even shared some of the restaurant’s history, and made us feel completely taken care of. She was kind enough to take our pictures too, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The restaurant itself was spotless, the atmosphere was welcoming, and parking was easy. Dessert was unbelievable — rich, delicious, and clearly made in-house. We were so glad we decided to share one. This place exceeded every expectation, and we can’t wait to come back.

Great Family owned business. Amazing Food ❤️ Great service! Angelina goes out of her way to give personal service to every person that walks through the door! She makes it a point to continually walk the restaurant greeting guests and making them feel like family! Great catering as well she did my son college graduation cocktail party, wow! From Summertime patio dining, to large groups celebrating special occasions or fun Holiday festivities she makes it special!

We absolutely love El Gran Agave! The food is always amazing—especially the flautas/taquitos, they’re our favorite and so delicious every time. We’ve enjoyed meals there as a family and with a group, and the experience has always been fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is great. We’ve also had their food that was catered for events we have attended, and it was just as tasty and fresh as dining in. Highly recommend whether you’re looking for a night out or planning a special gathering!

The patio is nice on a sunny day. We got the Lisle Restaurant Week deal. Forgot to take a picture of the platter, but the quesabirria and chimichanga were exceptionally delicious. The taco was pretty standard. Was bummed to have to choose either rice or beans instead of having some of both. The house marg was good both frozen and on the rocks. The churro sundae was also very delicious. On the pricier side for something comparable to Mexican takeout, but still yummy.

El Gran Agave is a truly special place for our family.
It’s more than a restaurant, it’s where we’ve created some of our most meaningful memories. We even had our baby shower here, and it was perfection. The space, the service, the way the staff cared for us… it all made the day unforgettable.
The food is consistently incredible, seasoned perfectly, fresh, and full of flavor. The chips are perfection, the salsas are bright and delicious, and the Tornado Fajitas are out of this world. You can taste the love and pride in every dish.
There’s something about the environment that brings people together… conversations flow a little easier, and the time you spend here feels meaningful. The owner is kind, generous, and deeply invested in creating a place where people feel welcomed and valued.
It’s also super kid-friendly (our daughter loves it!) while still being the perfect spot for a cozy date night or a relaxed dinner out with friends.
We’re so grateful for El Gran Agave and the memories our family continues to make here. Highly recommend supporting this gem! ❤️

Seated at the bar we got great service from Angelina. Good margaritas, good cocktails. Ordered an app, the Tex Mex Queso and it arrived pretty fast. All good. Moving to a table after our 6:00PM event started the service continued to be above average. I was pleasantly surprised because the dining room was filling up and they were clearly understaffed. Good job, El Gran Agave.
