Definitely going to be a regular here. Food and service was spot on. Not many places can nail tacos campechanos quite this good. The atmosphere was a refreshing twist and alot different then most Mexican restaurants. Very cool. The only downside being the amount of salsa Given with the chips is by far not enough, And if you want more chips or salsa it costs more. Not a deal breaker by any means however. El Gallo will more than likely be a once a month visit for us. Maybe twice

Tried this place for the first time and loved the carne asada. I would recommend the carne asada tacos. They had a cute little robot that brings the chips and salsa called “Arturito” aka R2D2, that was clever! Made me laugh waiter was very nice and there were a lot of options on the menu. The picada base was a little tough to chew- but It would’ve been very tasty if it was softer in my opinion.

If you like Mexican food, the traditional stuff is here but there is so much more. And if you’re vegan or vegetarian, this should be on your regular rotation. I’ve never seen more than beans, rice and fajita vegetables on the menu.

The food was delicious, they have the bottled Mexican Coke, which is one of my favorites, the service was great. Nothing but good things to say about this place. They weren’t that busy in a Monday night for dinner. I hope that people learn about this place and they stick around. Oh, they also have a robot that brings out your salsa and chips, which is pretty cool.

We had a group of 11 of us for our Christmas party. They were able to let us have the party room to ourselves. Service was a little slow at first but picked up when the food arrived. Some had the steak entree which they said was very good. The tacos, fajitas and burrito were also very good. I had the vegetable fajitas and they were excellent! Lots of different vegetables in it! Would definitely order again! Was fun to watch the robot deliver the chips and salsa, as well as play music for us. Staff were all very nice and accommodating.

We have ordered for pick up a couple of times. The food quality is really good and service when picking up was great. It’s a bit more expensive than other Mexican restaurants in town, but it is a great value when considering the ingredients quality and portion sizes. This has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in town by far! It was about time for the Madison area to have a high quality Mexican restaurant.

First time here and will be back . Just basic Fajitas and Nachos, and both very good. Service was fantastic. Zero complaints. This isn’t a “Cozy little nook” restaurant, but that can be overlooked since all else was great. The most amazing thing was the portions. We both are until WAY past full…. And still brought home 3.21 lbs. Of left overs. That’s gonna feed us a few days.
