I am a commercial property maintenance technician and I work on a lot of facilities that have a lot of restaurants.. this has got to be one of the cleanest kitchens I have ever seen there’s a lot of places I won’t eat at anymore because of what I’ve seen and How well restaurants take care of everything behind the scenes.. the family that owns this franchise are just on top of making sure everything is fresh clean refrigerators are working properly every surface is spotless and sanitized.. the food is phenomenal I actually have them cater my largest clients….. they take such good care of their customers here the food is great and it’s one of the few places that I can eat and have confidence that the food I’m getting is fresh and the surfaces that It was prepared on are clean. I recommend requesting the vegan steak tacos I am a meat eater I had them cater one of my clients in we needed vegan steak and they went above and beyond for me and made a special vegan option for my client and they were floored they were very suspicious it tasted too good…. I was craving for Fajitas and this meal right here hit THE SPOT. One of the best fajitas I’ve ever had. The meat was just right , not too juice and not too dry with the right amount of seasonings. Also great ordering experience I will be back for sure. El Famous

I’ve come to this place so many times regularly & always had a good experience, but this was one of the WORST food experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve ordered their cheeseburgers in the past & they were really good, but this time this was what they gave me. They put no top buns on my burgers only bottoms?? And when I bit into one of them, the patty was cold & hard, & smothered with a mountain of mustard. Tasted like it was microwaved absolutely disgusting

Have purchased food here multiple times over the last 5 years. Steak from their tacos and burritos always seem to come with chewy cartilage bits that honestly destroys the meal for me..I was being optimistic for a while since the place use to be good 15-20 years ago…. But It’s been steadily getting worse and I’m thinking either the chefs don’t care what they’re putting out, or the restaurant is using some cut-rate pieces of meat

I have been a patron of this establishment for a while, however I will no longer be going to this chain, I recommend Raymond’s Tacos near Chicago instead or at least another location.
Service
This place had horrible customer service, the Chef as well as a very nasty looking woman who if I could give a description looks like a somehow even more unwashed Ashley Trevinio.
I normally try not to comment on the appearances of staff- however this woman was visibly dirty as she had white flakes on her face, dirty hair with no net and dirty hands; not ideal when serving food. Actually now that I mention it; no one had on a hair net nor gloves.
She was also very rude, when I walked into the door she scrunched her face at me and glared at me the entire time I was there- as did the male chef, the atmosphere was very uncomfortable.
The male chef focused more on staring impolitely at customers than he did on ensuring the food was properly prepared; as I was unable to chew through the gristle filled meat
Food
Although she did not prepare the food, it was of noticeable poorer quality when the woman alike to Ashley Trevinio was present, the food itself was inedible- chewy, large chunks of gristle making the meat hard to separate and swallow.
To make matters worse, the unwashed woman threw the food into the bag in a very messy manner, the toppings spilled before we even left the store as they were poorly enclosed; leading me to think it might’ve been intentional. I was sent out of the store with a wet plastic bag and leaking ingredients.
Concise summary; store has unwashed, visibly dirty, rude staff. Food is filled with gristle and quality varies greatly, presentation of food is atrocious.

El Famous in Summit Il use to be the place we would go; they had a fire and closed up. One day, we walked in to find all the workers from the Summit location here! Now, mind that the Summit location was okay. Whatever happened, they moved the workers to this location. This is phenomenal and worth a visit. We don’t live near this location. So when we are out this way, we make it the place to eat. I love their steak burrito dinner. Their salsa and chips are great as well.
Their seating is limited at peak times. Nice parking. 2 bathrooms, male and female. Fountain drinks are available with free refills. We all had a nice time. Not a long wait. Workers have been helpful. They never refused service to us even though my picky child comes in with Wendy’s so we can enjoy our food. Cost is fair. I love it.

This place is amazing I come here every Monday and buy a burrito and get one to go so I could reheat it at work another day of the week. The food is excellent and tasty. I get my burrito there with everything and the one I take to go I only ask for cheese and steak so I heat it in the microwave and eat at work another day during the week. The people are always excellent as well. Thank you for being my preferred burrito location. Cheers.

Food was great and the place was clean! My burrito was fully loaded and tasted amazing! I like that the steak actually has flavor. Most Mexican restaurants now just cook steak and throw it on a taco. The service here was phenomenal as well. The young man taking my order was very nice, made conversation and got all my food and drinks out fast! Definitely will be back!
