Food was great! The gentleman who served me was literally the nicest person ive ever met. My wife, whos salvadorean, says the cheese they use is authentic. They have two types of salsa de tomate and the curtido has the right amount of ferment not too much but not just raw cabbage. They additionally have great cheesecake. I didnt try the horchata but i will next time. The map of el salvador on the wall is so cute.

We loved the food. The service good. Very friendly. Checked on us a lot before we got food. Not as much after. But they have a bell to ring if you need them. The food was so fresh and good. We got a large platter that served 2 or more. We had never been before and wanted to sample everything. This was a great value. My wife and I will get 5 meals out of it. Loved everything. Sauces were great. Papusas very tasty. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. We will go back and bring our kids.

Outstanding place for lunch. Pollo and camarones was delicious and a huge portion. Enough shrimp for a meal on its own. Pollo chipotle was also very good.

We went there when we were participating in the harry potter murder mystery. It was one of the businesses participating. They were very welcoming and helpful on deciding on what to order. We ended up splitting the pork pupusas and carnita tacos. Best pupusas I have tried. Tacos were in what tasted were homemade tortillas piled high with meat. The cabbage salad was not my favorite though. Would recommend this place to others.

Wow! This place is seriously amazing. From the salsa, which was some of the freshest and tastiest I have ever had, to the chiliquilas. Absolutely delicious. Generous portions, food came out fast but not too fast. You can tell everything is made fresh to orders with incredibly fresh ingredients. The sign above the kitchen reads “seasoned with love” and I believe it. You can’t go wrong and I’m so glad to have another great restaurant in our little town.

Very excited to find a Pupuseria in Lenoir! Delicious, homemade dishes and several fruit flavored waters. One downside is that if you order water, it’s bottled and not free. Recommend getting a Jarrito or something if you’re gonna pay for a drink.

Atmosphere a little sparse but serviceable and service was just fine. The problem came with the food, however. Let me preface by saying the Jalapeño and Cheese pupusas were absolutely stellar. 10/10. Now for the less-than-stellar…I waited about 20 minutes for take out and the ACP was cold to the point it needed to be microwaved. It was, however, very tasty when heated to the appropriate temperature. The Chicken and Poblano was very mediocre, I hate to say. The chicken had very little seasoning and was overcooked, and the “poblanos” were just slivers of what looked like burnt poblano rings, and even had a poblano top (see picture) and tasted of nothing more than burnt and bitter. The cheese sauce was quite tasty and gave it some flavor and much needed moisture but the peppers were disappointingly put to the side as they were inedible. The rice was okay, nothing to write home about. The beans it came with were confusing but delicious. It’s not a side of beans, but more than a bean soup with chorizo, onions, peppers and others flavors that was quite delicious, just not what i was expecting. All in all 3/5 as they clearly have some work to do on taste and heating food to proper temperature, but I’m hopeful when I try it again in a few months that it will be greatly improved and I can update my score then.

I love this place, but I am having to go back and put what I think of as a big negative here after tonight’s visit 10/7/25. I often take guest that are visiting Lenoir to this place and yes the food was still great, but I haven’t seen Dora in a while. The bad thing I have to mention is they are the only restaurant that I know of that are charging 1.75 for every refill of tea! I mean it is a little rediculous that a glass of tea now is $2.75 for a small cup of mostly ice… and they do not tell you that each refill is an additional $1.75! And you have to track the guy down and ask for a refill (service come on). I PAID $6.25 FOR MY TEA ALONE! Come on Dora that is absurd, refills on tea should be free, it is already a huge up charge! I am not going to change the stars and the rest of this review as I left it before, but really disapointed in a $6.25 glass of tea (and it didn’t even have lemon! In addition, the lady tried to charge me twice for one order of pupusas. I actually had to explain she charged me twice! I mean they must be struggling to try and charge a loyal customer too much.
Old review:
This place is great. This is my second time going and the first time that I ate at the restaurant. The pupusas are the way to go, they are awesome! I had never had them, but now they are a favorite. I got chicken, and pork, and I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. I got take out once before the chicken tacos and they were great too. I am thankful that this opened in Lenoir and will be back. I talked to the owner, Dora before leaving to say how much I liked it. She was very nice and humble too. I can’t wait to go back.

Cute little family run Salvadoran place. Not huge but sufficient. Sweet family amazing food. I highly recommend the steak fries. So yummy! I ordered mine without Pico and grilled my onions.
