I teamed up with my buddy (a seasoned pizza warrior) to take down this perilous pie. He has attempted this challenge multiple times, but never had a partner who could finish their half . Not in the mood to let my friend down and collect a defeat, we went in hungry and ready to devour!
The enormous pizza hit the table PIPING hot weighing exactly 4kg. After letting the whole thang cool down and cracking open some sodas, we charged headfirst into our devilishly doughy disk of sauce and cheese. We split our pizza into four unique topping quadrants to create a varied smorgasbord of slice variety to spare us the dues of flavor fatigue. I requested one quarter ham and pineapple (my favorite topping combo), and one quarter pepperoni and pineapple (inspired by James Webb). PeteZah opted for one half spinach, and one half olives, mushrooms with cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella! The level of customization here at Cappetta’s never seems to end.
This pizza was cooked to perfection with a nice sturdy and CRUNCHY crust enhanced by their homemade tomato sauce tomato sauce loaded with tons of herbs, spices, and sweetness .
After an absolutely delicious yet jaw fatiguing round of merry mastication, we had cleared the last bit of our crusts at the 22:01 mark earning us the win as well as new house record!
Thank you so much for everyone at Cappetta’s for treating me and my buddy with such kindness! The diligent care placed into preparing and cooking this pizza made eating this oversized pie a tremendous treat. I will definitely be returning to try eating this pizza solo
I am writing a review now because their pizza is great, but the quality has really gone downhill. If its the first time I would give them another chance but this isnt.
Our pizza has been burnt as shown on the photos (from today) and there were pieces of charcoal stuck to the dough before. (The oven needs to be cleaned more often)
I just let it go before, but it has been happening more and more. I see a review with the same complaint and this is the final time I will order pizza from here. The food is great here but if there are quality issues over and over, I believe its time to move on. I have kept ordering since it was my closest and local pizzeria, but I’ll explore other pizzerias now.
They definitely make the biggest, the extra large party size 30″ pizza is hilariously ridiculous.
My coworker has Celiac’s and says their gluten free crust is the best around too, she drives from Oxford to get it.
