This place is amazing! We came in as new customers. The atmosphere was warm and fun but not overly loud. Our waiter was fantastic. And best of all the food was amazing. Best guacamole we’ve ever had. We will absolutely be back.

This restaurant was truly great! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The guacamole was great! It was creamy, chunky, and spicy from the serrano and jalapeño peppers. I also got some tacos, the chicken enchiladas, and the el dorado bowl with tilapia. My favorite tacos were the steak, lengua, and tilapia. The chicken enchiladas were delicious! The meat was not even slightly dry and the red sauce was different but tasty, as it was very creamy. The el dorado bowl, was simple yet delicious as well. The fish and veggies were grilled well and were tasty with the avocado, beans, rice, and cheese. I also got the chimichange cheesecake which was good. It was crisy, sweet, and slightly sour. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it, since I don’t always like cheesecake.

This is genuinely the best Mexican restaurant in the Milwaukee area. We have been coming for years, been here dozens of times, and have never been disappointed. We have tried most of the menu, and it’s all fantastic. Our favorite is the alambre and abuelita tacos. The queso dip is phenomenal, the fajitas are amazing, the mole is perfect.. this is genuinely our favorite restaurant in the city. Oh and it’s very affordable!! Come here and support this fantastic restaurant.

Worst quesabirria tacos of my life. I was so sad. I talked about how much I love quesabirria and my coworkers had never had them, so I offered to pick some up for lunch. The tortillas fell apart, were soggy, and just disappointing. It was my first time there and I will never be going back. *I discovered my love for quesabirria during the pandemic. All takeout. Most of the times I’ve had it, it has been delivered or picked up by me as takeout. I’ve only eaten it in-restaurant twice.*

Went in with my family for dinner. And I have got to say that I tried five different styles of their tacos, and it blew my mind, all of them were really good. Tried also the Sangria which was amazing.

This seems like a fun little place. Ordered to go. Beef Tacos, Quesadilla, and two different kinds of nachos, bean dip with chips. All was packed neatly and looked good (see pics). All the food was excellent. The chips were warm and fresh though not very salty, which made them excellent when you put toppings with them. Keep in mind that nachos will get soggy quickly in a container.

It’s 4:30 p.m. on a Friday and we’re finishing up our meal. This was our first visit to El Dorado, but it won’t be our last! Everything we ordered was next level! What’s the guacamole was fresh, delicious and a large quantity. The horchata was flavorful and refreshing. My nephew raved about his ground beef taco salad. My son loved his Alambre tacos. I ordered Al pastor, and two others – can’t remember the names, but all were sooooooo delicious!!

It arrived hot, melty, and bubbling like it was personally delivered from the volcanoes of flavor Valhalla. Chunks of spicy chorizo swimming in molten cheese? Yes. A thousand times yes. I briefly considered using it as cologne.
Then came the tacos—three of them, like a meat-based holy trinity. The birria was the definition of tender, juicy perfection. Like, I actually paused mid-bite to consider whether I had just blacked out for a moment. The pastor was sweet, spicy, and grilled to just the right amount of caramelized crisp. Pineapple on tacos? Yes, it works. Fight me. And the carne asada was like a love letter from a cow that lived a good life.
My wife had the al pastor chimichanga with tomatillo salsa, which was basically a deep-fried flavor torpedo straight to the soul.
