I’ve eaten here numerous times over the years. Nothing really stands out to me although I know a lot of people who love eating here. For standard Tex Mex they do a good job. I like food a little more exciting, you can still get a good meal here. Not my preference for Mexican, but a solid to to for many folks and I can appreciate that. Service is good.

My wife and I had not been to El Dorado in quite some time as my job had me gravitating more toward Cincinnati. We just happened to be in Wilmington and decided to eat there. I’m very glad we did, the food was excellent, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere is very nice. The music was a little different, it reminded me of Kings Island of the 80s with a Latin flair, almost sounded like they were playing the music on fast forward. Not a bad experience just not quite what I remember and have experienced at similar restaurants. Overall it was a very good time the food and the service outweighed anything that could’ve retracted from it. I’ll be back probably sooner than later.

LarderRoom… Sometimes you just need some delicious Mexican and a cold one! Feeling like Mexican on a Saturday in a small town can be hectic so make sure you relax (expect the wait). Ordered a cold one (or two), Chicken Fajitas, Hard Tacos & Cheese Enchiladas. The chips and salsa was great. Support Local!

Ordered food from their website and was directed to another of their site that was not active yet. Got to restaurant and was told they didn’t have my order. I showed them my order number from that site and showed them my online credit card statement of the charges. Ended up redoing the whole order and waited another 25 minutes.

Kind of a typical Mexican restaurant. The salsa was ok, the tacos really didn’t have much flavor, the chicken chimichanga was so buried that I had to scrape everything off to see how it tasted. The chicken was alright but not a lot of flavor. The waiter never came back to check on me so my drink was never refilled.

Only been there twice. First time was really, really good. Food was great. Service was great. Second time was so-so. I ordered the steak/chicken fajita’s the second time. They were overcooked and very average. Not so bad that I didn’t eat em all though! I was hungry! It was a slow night and the service matched that. I will give it a third try and see which way it goes…..
