The food was bland.Our server was the equivalent of Lurch from the Addams family.To compensate for the diminutive size of my chimichanga,they over loaded my plate with rice and other things.If you are aspiring to eat bland food at a mediocre restaurant,by all means journey here and enjoy yourself.

I’ve been twice – the first time to try it out, the second time was not my choice. I had a lunch special the first time and the nachos supreme the second time. The lunch special came with rice and beans but a very small portion – the beans were basically a paper-thin layer. It was a good price though. I did not want to come back based on the food but ended up going again, again not by choice, for a function. The chicken on the nachos supreme I got on my second visit was pretty good, it was a huge portion, and I liked the salsa they give you with the complementary chips. The ground beef was terrible. It had a gray color to it, maybe like it was over crowded in the pan while cooking it and the meat got steamed instead of browned. It was mushy and barely seasoned. Being one of the most basic and fundamental ingredients at a Mexican restaurant (along with beans, which also were not very good) they really need to get this right. The service was friendly but not very good. The waitress forgot what we ordered which wasn’t a huge deal (still got made but brought the wrong dish at first) but like the beef/beans example, remembering an order is pretty basic stuff. They also forgot to bring the drink we ordered and had to remind them. The atmosphere is fine and the restaurant looks nice and clean. The food just is extremely subpar and kind of gross from my experience which is why I won’t be going back. Hope they can improve!

We have been here a few times since coming to the area. Everything is great accept the food is bland. There is not any seasoning or much flavor difference in the dishes. Each item tastes the same. We have branched out to trying some of the others in the area and have found better taste but not as close to home. We have found ourselves not coming anymore because of the missing flavors.
Staff was great, atmosphere was very energetic, food was good as well as the drinks. The drinks werent as strong, a bit tart for margaritas, I ordered another shot to put in mine. That fixed it. Food was tasty but not the best mexican I’ve ever had. Needed a bit more flavor and perhaps reel back the menu. It is way too big. Overall, we will be back!

I’ve been going to this place now for a few years. It has quickly became my most favorite Mexican restaurant around the Nashville area and I have tried quite a few different restaurants having lived in this area a long time. This one is really my favorite. My go to dish is the Hawaiian fajitas and they are really good. The dish has bacon, pineapple, onions, chicken and of course cheese. I have had Hawaiian fajitas at other Mex restaurants, no comparison. The bacon is crispy always cooked consistently and I can depend on the consistency so far for the last years at this restaurant. Some restaurants that you go are not consistent and you can tell the chef is different. You might get a little salty or a little something different each time but El Dorado has been the same quality every time I’ve gone. The service is normally pretty quick and they come back and check on you a few times the food is good and consistent. The salsa here tastes a little different than other salsas to me. This taste like a mix between salsa with a little bit of marinara sauce mixed in with it and it’s a thick salsa. It tastes really good. I would not have guessed that mixing the two sauces would be good and it may not be that but that’s what it tastes like to me . It’s just one of my favorite Mexican restaurants to go to. There is usually a wait for dinner, which is very telling for a restaurant that they have good food.

We went to El Dorado tonight for dinner after the 2nd grade Christmas special. We had a party of 11, 7 adults 2 kids and 2 newborns. Our server was Kevin B. Let me tell you how AMAZING he was. The restaurant was packed and he had a smile on his face each time he came to the table. The service was quick and the food was so good. We will be asking for him every time. Definitely the most enjoyable experience by far. 11/10.

This place is great! Adding jalapeños to the chorizo dip was a very nice touch. portion sizes were large(they could barely get it on the plate) Smiling faces and everyone was in a great mood even as we neared closing. Kevin kept my drink full and checked on me just the right amount.

Neither of our orders came out correctly. Its like the server just gave us what he wanted. When we told him this was not what we wanted, or ordered, he almost looked shocked. First rime ever this happened. Not sure how when you order a #5 combo and you get a #1combo you can mess that up. And if you order GRILLED chicken for your meal, you get baked.

We go here almost every Sunday in the Sunday rush and it’s always speedy. The service is always great and so is the food! Great prices as well, and it’s always very clean inside. Love this place.
