My new favorite diner. REALLY DEEP FLAVOR. Somebody in the kitchen has real pride. Rare for an old school diner. Service was attentive. Ambiance was classic diner, not plastic, not commercial, real Mexican/Americana. The $2 Churro is a must as is the a la carte Chile Relleno. The biscuits and gravy were deep with flavor, hard to get and rare for this Okie country boy. The locals clearly love it because by the time I left at 10:30 am on Sunday morning it was standing room only. This is a real side of the desert Highway movie set experience!!

The food It’s pretty good. But a little bit pricey. Overall decent. I ordered the carnitas burrito. Again, it was decent. I like when mom and pop restaurants and businesses put their own personal flavor and spin on cuisine. And without that personal extra love the food is okay.

El Coyote Loco in Lucerne Valley, CA is a must when we’re back in town visiting. A family owned & operated restaurant. Started off about 10yrs ago in a small location on Hwy 18 Soon the word got out how good the food & prices were. Next they had to moved into a larger restaurant. Our waitress Marion always makes us feel like family, the food is authentic home style , the atmosphere warm with locals & traveler’s, overall great food & good prices.
