Founded in 1998, El Coyote Restaurant is known as the Jackson Heights area’s premier Mexican Restaurant. Our iconic dishes are made from traditional recipes passed down from generation to generation. Authentic flavors are what make our cuisine so delicious.
Hearty Mexican fare, including fajitas, tableside guacamole & enchiladas, served in a warm setting.

Had lunch with some friends, this was my first time at El Coyote and I was impressed. The drinks were good and staff was very friendly. Our waiter, Christian, made sure my glass with water stayed full.

2/14/25 First time dining. Had dinner with friends it was packed. But that’s understandable because it was Valentine’s Day. Had a very good time, especially when the Mariachis started playing. The service, food, drinks, decor and ambiance were great. Our waiter Victor held it together because it was busy and he was wonderful. The only problem table setup should not interfere with people having to go to bathrooms.

I absolutely love El Coyote! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. Their happy hour is one of my favorites in town — I go all the time with my girls, and we always have a great time. The service is amazing, especially our waiter Julian. He’s incredibly attentive, friendly, and makes every visit extra enjoyable. If you go, definitely ask for Julian — he’s the best! Highly recommended!

Went here for Father’s Day. Service was prompt to greet and sear us. The food to my parents was delicious. My dad got the surf and turf special, mother the salmon special, and myself the menu paella. Unfortunately I can’t eat crab or lobster, and my parents were crossing utensils, so didn’t get a bite of their food. My paella was great looks small but is heavy I could only eat half and took the rest home (looking forward to dinner).
My one ding is I found the music a tad loud and found it hard to hear my parents at time. Otherwise a very diverse menu. They also had 2 pages of margaritas if you’re into that.
Reminder that it’s street parking so plan accordingly for arrival times.

One of my favorite spots in Jackson Heights since they opened (I live in the area). Had many delicious meals here and will update my review, as I find more photos.

I love COYOTE ! The happy hour atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends, and the food is delicious. But what really sets it apart is the service – our waiter Julian is top-notch! He’s attentive, professional, handsome and friendly, making us feel right at home. We always ask for Julian when we go, and I highly recommend you do the same!

Food is exceptional. Service is superb. Ambiance is cultural. 6 dollar margs, 7.50 for some delicious wings, 7 day happy hour. It’s safe to say that ‘el coyote’ is the best happy hour in the city. Jonathan was my bartender

The service was good, the food was alright. I was just disappointed that they did not have a lunch menu like the forest hill location. If I knew they did not have a lunch menu, I wouldn’t have came.

Updated review: After coming here for a few years, the food has reached a five star level. Very delicious so now I come here often(:
Original review: The staff was friendly and welcoming. The decor and ambient was nice but not cozy. The food was pretty good but not great. I’ve been here a few times and have had a good meal but I wouldn’t quite rate it a five star experience.
