Food was good, I’ve had much better. Tacos were small, I had one ground beef and one shredded beef. Both meats were very good. Comes with beans and rice. Portions could of been bigger for price. I was still hungry when I left. Could of easily ate another taco and usually I’m stuffed with two when you get beans and rice. Rice was softer than most. Friend had the cheese enchiladas with beans and rice. He thought it was good, but portions could of been larger. Both were $14.99 on the lunch special which is probably the norm anymore. It has a lovely Mexican atmosphere. Great place to take visitors when they come to town.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu selection for Mexican dishes. Kids meals available. Server was good. Food was slow to come out.

The food was super disappointing. The rice was so overcooked, the mild salsa had no flavor, the tortilla chip bowl was so small and the chips had no flavor also. We’ve gone to Mexican restaurants where the salsa bowl was practically the same size as this chip bowl. The waitress was very nice and filled our bowl a few times. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. Sorry to say we won’t be back here again.

I don’t know for $13-15 dallor burrito this seems kinda thin!!! This “burrito” had more cheese then anything and one strip of bacon.

I’ve been meaning to come here since they opened. Finally made it with a buddy for lunch today.
Service… five star. Atmosphere, great. The food was the best Mexican I’ve had in Tucson. Try the chimichanga combo plate. You won’t go away hungry. As Ah Nold said….Ahll be back!

Been dining here and at the previous location on Nexus and Valencia for 20+ years. Also dined 30 years ago in Safford. Best Mexican (New Mexican) food ever!!! We eat here so often that we almost feel like part of the family which speaks to the excellent friendly atmosphere.

Details are important. Missing some key things but has all the potential. I felt like going back to the kitchen and begging them to change so they could be successful. The salsa was watery but you can tell it would have been delicious if it had the proper texture. The meat was tender but didnt have enough salt, and some parts of the dish were clearly microwaved (hot plate means microwaved!). The atmosphere, furniture and decor were all a win in my book. The service was above average. One big pitfall was the taste of the water. Seemed like their ice machine has freezer burn or something, because it flavored every drink with some off, unpleasant taste. The server did not seem surprised about this, so my guess is it is brought up often. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and inviting but people are likely not coming back because of the details. I honestly feel like a few small changes could make this place “the” place to go for Mexican food and drinks in Rita Ranch. Please use the feedback you get here because a lot of people are saying the same things.

This was our first time trying El Coronado. It was nice that we could sit outside with our dogs, our server came out pretty quickly and brought us a bowl for water for them. It was be nice if the had fans outside in the summer.

The service was good. The mango margarita was okay. The food, I would have to agree with other reviews. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. My shrimp taco was sweet, which caught me off guard. The ground beef taco wasn’t greasy at all which was nice, but was very salty. The chips were stale. The red chili looked off….like a thick red enchilada sauce. The prices were a little steep as well, especially for the quality. Again, not bad food, just not sure we would go out of our way to go back.

Tried for the first time for dinner. Service was great but a little slow. Of course, dining anywhere at a peak time it’s expected. The server was amazing and the food was good. Their beef tacos got rave reviews at the table.
