I’m pretty upset since this is one of my favorite places. The person that answered the phone was not very nice & acted as if i was a bother. & for the first time ever my queso was ice box cold. Like it was just taken out of the fridge & served to me. :/

Drove to St Martinville to try the St John restaurant. Horrible parking lot and over an hour wait. We left and luckily spotted this place, El Corazon, down the street and were so glad we stopped.
No wait, beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. …and their food? Holy heck, DELICIOUS! Super impressed with how much they have on their menu…and they have QUESABERRIAS! Some of the BEST I’ve ever had. We totally got lucky finding this place- will definitely be back!

We went to La Espuela first, and it really looks run down since the last time we went. There was portable AC’s, because I assume their AC was out. Waited a few minutes, and no one came with chips and salsa or to take our drink order. So, we left and drove up the road to El Corazón. We are so glad we did. It’s a clean and bright place with great food, service and great environment with live music on Friday night. Definitely our go to Mexican restaurant in St. Martinville now.
