I think they reopened 3? years ago and still going strong. Nice well lit atmosphere with restaurant tables in Quieter back area. Recommend Homemade soups, one of the best house salads in the area with great homemade blue cheese dressing. They have a soup flight with three soups of the day and house salad for $13 I think.

They have a solid menu with some rotating items, like the Cuban sandwich, so always check out the chalkboard for those and the soups and the desserts. Great fish fry with baked potato, coleslaw, deep fried roll, and vegetable. All you can eat Pollock with other types of fish available too. They also brought back the Hanks broasted chicken

Also thursday ribs do fall off the bone, real meaty, good sauce,… baby reds, carrots that night plus deep fried roll. Full rack is 14 bones not the 8 bones other places serve now.

Football Sunday has low priced items like loaded nacho plate and Fries plate plus 2 lb of wings for $9. Also free shooters for touchdowns and field goals

Great food in Aurora,MN. My family went to the Copper Nickel based on a recommendation by someone at Giant’s Ridge Legends Golf Course. Wow, what a fantastic place to eat. We went here on a Thursday and I had the rib special. I smoke my own ribs for about 6-8 hours and had low expectations. However, these ribs, though oven baked tasted great. Not huge smoke flavor like my homemade ones, but it was surprisingly good. It’s much better than the ribs sold at Chili’s or Applebees. They should take notes on how to cook ribs.

My kids had the kids meal of Kraft mac and cheese, which was fine because that’s what they liked. The fries that came with it were incredible. These french fries are thin and crispy similarly to McDonald’s.

My wife had the gluten free tortellini pasta which she absolutely enjoyed.

Being in iron ore country, this is a hidden gem in the iron range.

Tori was a delight to hang and chat with. She was very personable and had great recommendations. Food was like no other! There were some amazing options on the menu and I don’t think there is a wrong choice. Drinks were wonderful as well. Wish we could pick this gem up and move it to our home town 🙂

We have been here several times and it has always been great! Tonight, however, it was a miss. Steak sandwich was subpar as was the French Dup which I always order. AuJus was forgotten initially then came out cold. Fries were soggy. Meal was tasteless. Not sure what happened tonight, but the food was below average for the first time. Server was great.

Went there after a round of golf on a suggestion by a local. Great food, fun atmosphere for a Monday. Next time we go up that way, it will be a definite stop! Nothing fancy or pretentious. Just really good upscale bar food and atmosphere!!

This place was great. Nice staff and good food. We actually had originally planned to go to Rudy’s. Due to it being an Hr before close they wouldnt seat our 3 families (ten people) because they didnt want to clean and stated our only option was bar side(high tables and stools…had a 9 month old, 3 yr old, 6 and 8 yr old and 6 adults) or we could move tables ourselves but she wasnt cleaning the dining. We walked across the street and we were seated and accommodated at the Copper Nickle. I highly recommend it. The soup was amazing, the steak bites and cheese curds were also very good.
