Exquisite service, transcendent food , magnificent atmosphere, one of the greatest meals of my life. I heard a birthday celebration that was made my ears do a dance of joy. Today I decided to try this restaurant because I’m always at the plaza but never noticed the restaurant. I figured it’s closer to me than Broncos on Union Street. I place a pick up order. The food was nasty and cold. I had to heat it up in the oven. I was barely greeted and just handed my food. I could have forgiven the service if the food tasted better. The chips were the best thing about the meal, which tasted like every tortilla chip in town.

I had never dined at El Conquistador, so naturally I ordered my usual & personal favorite, huevos con chorizo. (eggs, rice & Spanish sausage) Simple easy meal, right? No, apparently some establishments have no concept of how to prepare even a decent fried egg.
But, El Conquistador, showed up & showed out! Not only were the eggs fluffy, delicious and cooked to perfection the chorizo was off the charts perfectly balanced in taste & spice. Real Quality!! The service was friendly, open and incredibly welcoming! I’m a fan. If you’re looking for good Tex-Mex this place is great! El Conquistador is the bomb!

El Conquistador is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever been to! The food was delicious — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Every bite tasted fresh and authentic. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with great music and a cozy vibe that made me feel right at home.
Our server Angel was incredibly friendly and attentive he made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.I will definitely be coming back and I recommend this place for everyone.

This restaurant is located in the Food Lion shopping center. We were immediately greeted and brought to our table. Served chips and salsa. There is also a salsa bar available. The Carolina burrito is huge. You will not go home hungry. We also ordered the three item combination with the guacamole salad, chicken burrito, and Chile relleno. All was tasty. Will definitely be back.
