This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The hostess and waitress were so friendly and authentically kind. The food was made to perfection. What I mean by that is… It was seasoned and flavored just right, not bland and not too much salt or seasoning. The plates and portions were perfect size, I was full but not so full where I needed a nap afterwards. El Compadre has so far been the best Mexican food I’ve had in Indiana and it’s located in a lovely little town.

My husband had a burrito that he loved. I had the Gringo Steak. I ordered medium rare, but the steak was so thin that it must’ve been difficult to cook that way. It didn’t have much flavor and was tough as leather. On the other hand, the salsa was delicious. We will go back, but I will be ordering something different next time.

The service k received was not best I have seen much better, they forgot part of our order, took them an extra 10 mins to make it by the time we got it everyone else was already almost done with our food. It was a bad experience all together, I understand they were busy but at the same time that is no reason to completely forget part of the order and wait almost 15-20 minutes just for the rest of our order. I have seen much better. Yes our table was loud and had a kid but she was hungry and had to wait an excessive amount of time for her meal

Was on a work trip and stopped in for lunch. Very friendly and prompt service. The restaurant was clean with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious. If ever in the area again, I will be stopping back in.

This is the best of the El Compadres The food and service are consistently good. They did a really nice job remodeling an old building. The only downside is that the outdoor seating has a lot of noise from the highway.

Excellent service! Flavor filled serving, not spicy but full of flavor. If you can’t find an item on their menu to tantalize your taste buds, then you need to stay home and cook for yourself! I intend to return to this restaurant as often as I can. My daughter-in-law loved the food as well.
