I have gone with my girlfriend twice, and both times my experience has been nothing short of superb! The staff is attentive, fast and kind. They remember their guests and are always smiling! The food is incredible, we have had their enchiladas, burritos, and tortas and I cannot speak highly enough. If you’re looking for a great night out, El Chilango is the place to go!!! Past the service and quality of food, the prices are VERY good. 10/10 recommend!

Tonight, my brother and I went to El Chilango (first time) to celebrate hos birthday and Counselor’s week. It’s a small restaurant, but the owner and staff are top tier in service. Ozzy, the owner went from table to table, not only checking on the guests, but actually taking the time to talk with everyone. The food was fresh and flavorful. The environment was welcoming and the staff is amazing with beautiful smiles and personalities. The house margarita, no extra shot for me, was well prepared and tasty! My brother enjoyed himself and is already talking about coming back. I read about El Chilango, via my Google feed, being the best Mexican restaurant on the Coast and so far, 5 stars in my opinion, but hey go try it for yourself! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Really great food! Doris was our waitress and she was so kind and helpful with the menu! It was our first time here and it did not disappoint! Doris also was a great waitress and made sure we were well taken care of! The place is small but the food goes above and beyond! Yum! Also prices were fair and our bill was not bad for 2 people with 2 margaritas, 2 meals and dessert!

This is in the top 3 Mexican restaurants on the Mississippi area. The food is good & it is about as authentic as you can find in the area! The staff are very friendly & accommodating. The owner of the restaurant will get in the trenches with his employees seating people, delivering food & still check in with customers to be sure they are having a good experience. If you are in the area & your hungry, I highly recommend try El Chilango, you will not be disappointed!
Side note: They do not mess around on the adult beverages, you will get what you pay for!

This is a really good Mexican restaurant with interesting flavors and a lot of variety. It is NOT the same old tamed-down offerings you find at the standard anglicized places.
Many different recipes. The complementary tortilla chips were very light and tasty, the salsa bold and flavorful. Everyone was very nice and efficient. The place is charming and well-appointed.

Definitely a wonderful experience and highly recommend paying a visit! I had the huaraches, which is a dish I’ve never seen anywhere else. It was amazing! The lightly seasoned chips were thin and crispy but had strength to lift the guacamole. The salsa was unique, reminiscent of pickle flavor. I had no room for dessert even though the options were so tempting. Warm and friendly service

This place is a hidden gem! I can’t count the number of times I’ve passed this place, not knowing it was here. Their food and service is phenomenal. My favorite is the steak bowl, but I’ve tried different dishes. The chips and salsa are amazing and the flavors are the most authentic I’ve found here on the gulf coast. Don’t walk, RUN to El Chilango! Oh, the margaritas are great too!❤️

First time trying this new Mexican restaurant thisafternoon. Have heard good things so wanted to try myself. First off the service was great. Very friendly, quick and checked on us often. The food was also very good. Really good flavor and actually had a different flavor profile than most other Mexican places along the coast that taste mostly very similar. Will be back.

What a wonderful new addition to the Gulf Coast. Finally a Mexican restaurant with authentic cuisine. Real, fresh, homemade guacamole and homemade corn tortillas, handmade right there on the premises! They also use real cheese, not the white pasteurized stuff everyone else is using! The people there are so incredibly friendly. El Chilango is our new favorite spot! It’s a must try

The sangria margarita was so good. The Food and service was amazing. I wish we lived closer. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town. My only complaint was it seems there is an issue with the vent system. The grease smell was very strong. Still worthy of a five star review though.
